So how good can one of only two restaurants on the top of Montserrat really be? Our group of six agrees, exceptional.Lovely dining room, white linens, quality stemware, piano player, professional waitstaff, great menu and wine list but most importantly excellent food prepared exactly as ordered. All this and fair prices too. Our group of six each enjoyed a starter, entre and dessert along with two bottles of wine and the entire bill with gratuity was just over $300 USD.Not sure when we'll be back to Bogota but know when we do, we'll definitely be back to this place again!

I am big fan of Andreiâs cuisine. However, I was terribly disappointed with this restaurant. The fish courtesy we received was terrible. The sherbet was terribly flavored. We ordered a house specialty (fish) and it was just plain fish with no extraordinary flavor. Coconut rice was regular coconut rice. Nothing extraordinary for the prices we paid.The highlight of the night was the coconut pie with lemon. That is what saved the night as it was awesome! Dear Claudia,We appreciate and take very seriously constructive criticism. Your observations surprise and worry us as it is highly unusual and we will try to look into it. I would appreciate if you could be a little bit more specific as that would help us to pinpoint and eventually improve on the dishes you mentioned.I hope you give us a second chance (on us) and give us your input on our effort to live up to your expectations.Regards, Andrei

On my previous visit with a group of friends, I had ordered the "Surf and Turf" from the menu which came with a nice piece of tender meat along with a reasonable size, tasty lobster. In this occasion, I once again ordered the same dish, as did my wife on my suggestion and we were so dissappointed we sent it back. Instead of one large lobster, there were two very small lobster tails covered in cheese. On lifting the cheese we discovered that there was very little lobster meat underneath. The waiter offered to exchange the dish and my wife and I chose the lamb chops, medium cooked. After what seemed like an eternity, the replacement dishes arrived, only for us to find that the lamb was cooked rare and my wife's dish had to be returned to be cooked more. On my visits to Armadillo, I have always enjoyed the food, but on this occasion the restaurant fell well short on food quality.

Matiz restautant is set in a charming historical building that has been extended tastefully. We had a table in the winter garden, by an artificial waterfall, which was beautiful. The waiters were very attentive and charming. And the menu was amazing â we would have loved to pick each and every meal. Needless to say the food was delicious and did justice to their reputation as seafood specialists.

This place is a real find. The service is good, the manager very attentive, and the food uniformly excellent. It is not easy to fund duck in Bogota (their ducks are imported form Canada) and magret was absolutely delicious. The food was excellent and the presentation was phenomenal - very gourmet. The waiter and the owners were so nice and approachable. The desserts were amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the neighborhood La Macarena or Bogota. They have a cute backdoor patio and unique interior decor. The front room facing the street was our favorite. Highly recommend this place.

Shared several dishes at Tamarine Including the lobster roll, noodles, tuna and shrimp. The tuna and shrimp were the best but the other dishes were good too. The fish was fresh tasting and all the food was well prepared and well presented. Our meal started with a house offering of a tasty yoghurt dip with chips and a local beverage. In the high-end Chapinero district is an unassuming Peruvian gem. Simple tables belie the complexity and the honesty of the food. An incredibly wide-ranging menu that covers the fullest range of Peruvian cuisine. Ingredients appear to be of the highest grade and are well-prepared.I've sampled ceviche all over Colombia, for instance, and theirs equals the best I've had in Miami, Providence, Boston and certainly Lima. One can eat here at random from the menu and emerge satisfied in so many senses.
