Bra råvaror finns här, mycket trevlig personal som serverar maten snabbt, mysigt inne trots att det ligger i ett industri område, tv att se på medans man väntar, går att ta med mat eller äta på plats både inne/ute. Bra med parkeringar stor meny att välja på, finns även glutenfritt mm

This relatively new unknown little fish restaurant serves the arguably the tastiest fish food we have had I our 4 years in Sweden... and we are not easy to please... Fantastic mussels smelling sea and other sea delicacies in a simple but authentic setting.

We loved our pizzas. And the service was great. Staff was social and fun. Kids got free candy :)They have big tv, which we needed for world cup.

One doesn't expect much from a budget fast-food restaurant on a busy Monday evening, and Monroe's is a big surprise! The interior is interesting, inspired by California in the '50s: paintings, figurines, LPs. I like such setting because it provides topics for conversation and inspiration to my own thoughts. And music too. And Betty Boop.We tried both pizza and burgers. Pizza was good, but burgers were supergood. Huge and tasty, roasted and assembled just for us right there, right then. Be aware: there is no stick in the middle, so the construction is not that stable and may collapse when about a half is eaten :)) It's possible to see them being roasted and feel the smells. Not the healthiest meal ever, but there is some truth in it. My only shade of regret was caused by absence of espresso... But basic coffee was served, even though it was 5 minutes before closing hour. No problem with children (they usually like figurines and fries), several tables outdoors.

There is a pizzeria basically everywhere you go in Gävle, and most of them are average, below average or downright poor. Therefore, it's always fun to find exceptions like Bakfickan, where the quality and taste exceeds the general standard. It opened just a couple of months ago, and in the beginning it was quite messy, but now they've gotten some structure and the interior has started to come together as well. They also have the best area for dining outside of all the pizzerias in Gävle, which has made them really popular now in the summertime.The pizzas are a bit more pricey than in the "regular" Gävle pizzerias (a "regular" pizza is about 50-60 SEK, Bakfickan's range between 75-105 SEK), but believe me - those extra crowns are worth it! The ingredients are always fresh, the pizzas are perfect in size and the combination of ingredients are fun and differs a lot from the "standard pizzas" in Gävle. I've had the Pasta Pollo e Spinaci once though, and it wasn't too special, so I'd stick to the pizzas.The staff is really nice, the orders don't take long to complete and the take away runs as smoothly as the sit down-service. Don't expect 5-star quality if you are looking for a "fancy dinner", but as a pizzeria, they are not even a little threatened by any other pizzeria in the Gävle region. I have not yet tried their grill options or desserts, but I hope they are just as good as the pizzas!P.S; I strongly recommend the Inferno or Scampi Pizza!

Good service, good food, not cozy but it works, big windows towards the traffic outside. A good first experince but (tourist aware!) they don't handle cash, but we managed to pay with cash anyway. That's too bad because then we will not visit this restaurant anymore.

Located in central Gävle this place offers a dining experience where you cook your own meat/fish whatever at the table using a 400 degrees (Celsius) hot lava stone. We had two different kinds of meats and a side of sallad and potato gratain. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but it really wasn't special in anyway. It all was served with an individual hot stone, making it kind of crowded and cramped when you have to slice up the raw meat yourself to cook it. The service was pleasent and swift so no remarks there. If you've never tried this kind of diningexperience you might wanna try it. And if you got kids I'm sure the will like it, otherwise there is a lot of better alternatives.

We had dinner here the other night, and everything was if the highest quality. The pasta was magnificent from the seafood to the veal meatballs. The bruschetta and the antipasto were amazing. The drinks were imaginative and the pasta was outstanding. But.....the best part was Per our bartender/server. He could not have been better. What a great fellow and a tremendous asset to this establishment. Highest recommendations.

This nice restaurant is located a bit «off the beaten track», donât let that stop you from visiting! Me and my partner both had pizza that was pefectly prepared. Thin and crusty with interesting toppings, like lamb and wild boar sausages. Limited winelist with reasonably priced wines. Service very friendly but maybe a little bit slow
