With the name also the owner changed, yet restaurant stayed more or less the same with friendly interior and a nice terrace in front even though on main road.The menu is quite elaborate offering all the Greek plates you might can think of.Food quality is solid nut nothing really extraordinary.Service was very friendly.All in all straight forward Greek.

Aufgrund der der zahlreichen positiven Bewertungen hatten wir uns entschlossen Nikos Ouzeria zu besuchen.Vier Tage im Voraus hatten wir einen Tisch für 5 Personen geordert. Etwas verwundert waren wir dann schon als wir im hinteren Teil des Restaurants einen Tisch zugewiesen bekamen der max. für vier Personen gereicht hätte, zumal der vordere Bereich des Lokals nahezu unbesetzt war. An den Nachbartischen saÃen auch immer nur 3 Personen an ähnlich groÃen Tischen. Bei einem Lokal das für seine Vorspeisenvarianten gelobt wird und für die man verständlicherweise etwas Platz auf dem Tisch benötigt, nicht gerade ein optimaler Einstieg. Die Bedienung war freundlich, die verschiedenen Speisen waren sowohl kalt als auch warm optisch ansprechend angerichtet und allesamt lecker. Es war allerdings ein permanentes und unnötiges Geschiebe von Tellern und Gläsern nötig um auch nur einigermaÃen gut zu recht zu kommen. Unser Hinweis auf diese Enge wurde lediglich mit einem Lächeln quittiert â das reicht leider nicht â es wäre ein leichtes gewesen noch einen kleinen Tisch dazu zu stellen, Platz war in diesem Raum wirklich ausreichend vorhanden.Fazit: Ein etwas anderer Grieche â keine der üblichen Gyrosteller, stattdessen viele leckere und gute Speisen/Getränke im mittleren Preissegment, Service freundlich aber das Platzangebot an diesem Abend vollkommen unzureichend und trotz Hinweis auf diesen Umstand keine Ãnderung - deshalb klarer Punktabzug!!

All the food was very good, although one starter, potato fritters with marinated salmon, was more typical of Cologne than Italy. The decor has a warm feel to it. The service was friendly and efficient. Do go there and book a table beforehand, particularly at weekends.

We brought 7 people in, fed everyone exceedingly well, and got away with a very fair bill having enjoyed a culinary treat.We were with friends who are German speakers, and we left the ordering to them. We seemed to have a bit harder time communicating what we wanted to the server than I felt justified. There were 14 menu items, 7 of us, and a recommendation of 2-3 plates per person -- being tapas. The server argued gently with us, saying that the portions were too small to feed 7, and she even went in to bring out a bowl to show us size. We knew that there was enough difference in taste to know that none of us would eat from all the bowls. The process started to repeat itself at dessert. In the end our instinct on how much we would eat was right, so I am glad we insisted in our desires.The food was excellent. I would consider it Spain-inspired more than Spanish. The flavours were strong, bold, enticing but not what I was accustomed to in Spain. For example, I can be sure they used Itslian olive oil, not Spanish; creme brulee was offered instead of the more customary flan. The list goes on, touching almost every dish. No matter! The basic ingredients and ideas resonated Spain and the foid really was superb!Aside from the slightly off-putting service, it was virtually a "5" and is definitely a place I would return to again and again if I lived in this corner of the world.

It has been a very long while since we last visited La Fornace and I was really looking forward to re-discovering this Italian restaurant. Our party of 7 spanning three generations booked a table outside in the shade on a balmy Friday evening recently. The first thing I noticed was that all the personnel had changed. Service was OK and we were regularly topped up with drinks (Kölsch) as at least four of us were quite thirsty that night. To get things going in the right spirit I order an Aperol Royal Prosecco which I have been drinking a lot of recently. Here it came in a tiny glass - for over 4,00 Euro. I was disappointed. As a starter I liked the sound of baby calarmares with salad. I was dismayed, however to discover that it was a huge plate - certainly enough for a main course & in fact one of our party did, indeed order it as his main course. I followed this with a pizza diavolo which was also huge - I simply couldn't finish it. I suppose having too much is better than not having enough but I just felt overwhelmed...The others in our party were satisfied enough. They had a range of dishes all of which were well cooked. Somehow I left with mixed feelings. The place had somehow changed for an atmospheric point of view. One of the waitresses who could hardly speak German let alone English which somehow seemed to sum it up for me - there was the missing homely, friendly feel about the whole place which I remember from the past. Sorry, but for me I classify it now as "average" even though my 13 year old son thought it was "excellent" because he liked his pizza margarita :-)

The food was surprisingly good and the waiter was very nice. His English was very good and he made us feel welcome. It's only a short walk down the hill from the Schloss Bensberg where we stayed.

Dieses Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal, hebt sich komplett ab von den klassischen Imbissbuden drum herum ab. Das Essen schmeckt frisch und mit liebe zubereitet. Dir Bedienung nimmt sich viel Zeit um einzelne Gerichte zu erklären. Das ist ein Restaurant mit sehr viel Potential und was sehr besonders in Bergisch Gladbach.

We ate here a few times while staying at the hotel, for lunch and dinner.The menu captures traditional Italian options, as well as a few "creative interpretations" which provide for an interesting variation on Italian cuisine. The wine is Italian, complemented by outstanding Italian sparkling wine.We loved our times here, and saved our final dinner at the hotel for this restaurant. It was definitely worth it!

Strange combination of Indian and Italian food. the personal looks real indian,not Italian. The indian food was of really good quality. Absolutely enjoyed the diner. Very nice people also.

The restaurant is located at the main road between Bergisch Gladbach and Bensberg. Parking is possible in front of the restaurant but not there are not plenty of them. The place started, at least it looks like, as take away and delivery service for Italian food. They added a little room lately which is nicely decorated. When the weather is good then they add a few beer benches outside. The menu is not very big, they are well known for their excellent pizzas. The pizzas are huge. We had a salad upfront which was big too. That was an error. The service is nice.
