Okay, so it's significantly more expensive than some of the 100 yen kaiten sushi places, but then the fish is fresher and more generously laid over the rice (which is also excellent). Our second visit and there will probably be more.

A little out of the way but from the minute we walked in I knew this was going to be a good experience and it was. Old style house renovated and run by a young couple using organic vegetables and hand made soba. Good sake and beer selection as well, not cheap but worth it for the experience. Best dining experience we had in Ushiku.

I come here with my family about 6-8 times a year. If you are going on a weekend evening, make a reservation. Very crowded on weekends. Kids love this place because for each 5 plates they eat, they have a chance to win a prize. Staff friendly and helpful, good menu choices and at 100 yen per plate, cheaper and healthier than those fast food (garbage) burger joints. Will continue to come here. The draft beer is always super cold.

This is one of the famous place in this location. They use pretty fresh seasonal vegetables, raw fish and seasonal recommended Sake they surve. Food and sake matching is sofisticated.
