Zumu Sushi

I absolutely love the food here but I’m losing patience with the poor service. I regularly order takeaway sushi which is well over twenty minutes late (at least the last four times). Particularly irritating when each time they tell you it will be 40 minutes (a long time for take away!) and you end up waiting a further 35 like today. Please fix this! The food is lovely but this needs sorting!

Came away from a trip here quite disappointed, especially when we got the bill which didnt match up to the experience. When a waitress absentmindedly picks up a glass full of water and then pours it all over the table, doesnt clean it up properly so we had a wet table and floor, doesnt replace the water either, i dont expect a mandatory service charge. The attitude towards allergies was rubbish as well, no real advice just a big list to work through yourself, which is OK but not massively reassuring, 'its your problem' felt like the approach.Would also be great to have some sort of suitable options for the kids, although ours were fine with the small plates. The food was very tasty but expensive for what u got even for Alderley, tiny portion of fries for 5 po though as were many of the small plates, tasty and well executed.Maybe going for proper meals rather than small plates will be a better experience. However what really let this place down was the service, for a group of 8 of us we will go elsewhere in future as we were all unimpressed. Even on booking with the advertised 50% off I got a scoff of derision when enquiring if this applied to our group (as their booking tool for this offer implied) that made me feel great too, it only applied to groups of 6 or less.Hi SparkyQ,I'm really sorry to hear you didn't have an amazing experience here with us. Could you please email the time, date and booking name so I can look in to this further? [email protected] Regards,Victors Management

Thursday 10.10.19, just approaching 8.00 pm The bar is virtually empty and a fab motown vocalist has just started singing. My husband and I, who are local, went in for a drink. We were served promptly but after "finishing" our drinks (remember the place was quite empty so the bar staff should have noticed our glasses were empty) my husband attempted to attract the attention of the one bar person (a female) who was more interested in her mobile phone. Fed up we started to leave and only then were we asked by a male bar person if we wanted another drink. My husband was already out of the door. I told the male bar person that we had wanted another drink but as the female was more into her mobile than her customers and he was not on the bar at the time, to forget it. All credit to him, he did his best to entice us to stay whilst in the meantime the female appeared and tried to defend herself!!! Really!!!! Does this place want the business? Certainly looks like it needs it.
