It is hard to find a decent Italian restaurant outside of any of the big cities in Japan so Paysan is a bit of a surprise. I first came here at least 7 years ago and nothing much has changed. The food is better than average although the servings are Japanese sized and can seem a little small for a main meal. One of our party had the lasagna which is a bit of a rarity in Japanese Italian restaurants outside of big cities and said it was delicious. Various pastas all cooked al dente and with well flavoured sauces. The seafood salad is very disappointing. Melon and prosciuttio uses very good quality ham but not enough melon - an expensive fruit in Japan. We didn't try any meat dishes. The pizza has a nicely thin crust but too much mozzarella made the Margharita taste a bit rubbery. The coffee was very good and the seasonal mont blanc cake and tiramisu were delicious.
