Italian restaurants in the Netherlands tend to be safe as taste goes, thankfully Mari e Monti stay true to their heritage based in Sardinia (IT) and treat the guests that dare to move away from the pizza to some true great flavors traditionally cooked. They boast a solid wine cellar for reasonable prices. We've had a lovely 3 course menu that ended with an excellent espresso (the best we've tasted so far after living in Holland for over 15 years)!The service is friendly and efficient , they know when you want to take the time with a loved one or get out quick when sat down with the in-laws.But do make a reservation more people have found this little gem in Vaals

We had à great dinner again. The restaurant is run by 2 brothers.Try the special house cocktail, the Viola.The mixend salad is fantastic.The pizza is fabulous.Very friendly service..

Leuke plek voor een hapje en een drankje. Bediening is vriendelijk en het eten is lekker. Buiten is een grote speeltuin met een terras. Terras heeft een mooi uitzicht over het dal.

I had a nice beef skewer and the sauce was also very tasty. But combined the flavor of the sauce was overpowered by the beef. My partner ordered the pasta with scampi which was amazing. One tip for the staff: they didn't have the brownie for the 'trio of chocolate' dessert anymore (which was our main reason for ordering it). Instead of asking if we wanted a different dessert they simply served it with a different cake and said "oh, yeah well, we didn't have everything anymore." In my opinion this should have been handled differently. Instead of 4 they get 3 stars.

I ordered a gnocci dish with shrimps. service was great until I dared to give the waitress a comment about the shrimps because they tasted bad (tasted old). her face changed immediately from smile to anger and her reply was that they are going to have new batch in a week so I should come back then. not sure how that excuse supposed to help us as we are staying there only for 2 days. after that she just ignored us and didn't made eye contact at all so after some time we gave up and went to the bar to beg for somebody else to give us the bill because our waitress apparently got deeply insulted by our feedback. also my partner ordered some kind of a pasta with oil and jalapeno and it was tasteless. not recommended unfortunately.

We spent a 6 day holiday break in Epen, South Limburg, The Netherlands at the end of March, and beginning of April, 2016. It was great to be back again in this beautiful little village town which has several hotels, restaurants, a supermarket, post office and tourist information centre. We had on previous holidays in Epen, visited RESTAURANT BIJ GIUSEPPE at HOTEL EUREKA, for a meal, and found the meal so delicious that we simply had to return there for another meal during this holiday.We were welcomed upon arrival by 'Host - Minou', a very pleasant and friendly young lady who was very helpful in helping us choose a meal from the menu.On this occasion we both chose to have a PIZZA each, but with different toppings. The pizza was of a very large size with generous toppings on each. It was well baked to our liking and was very well presented by Minou at our table. Both pizzas had been cut in half so that both of us had the advantage of tasting the two pizzas , each half with different toppings. It was difficult to say which was best suited to our taste, as both pizzas were absolutely delicious and a very substantial meal. We had tasted none better than the pizzas that we ate at this Italian Restaurant at HOTEL EUREKA, in EPEN. We were also served with two cups of coffee accompanied by biscuits and a portion of chocolate, all of which was very nice. The price was very reasonable and we both enjoyed pizzas and coffee very much.The restaurant was very spacious with tables and chairs well set out. Everywhere within was spotlessly clean and hygienic. The décor was bright and fresh looking,and overall had a very pleasant atmosphere. We went to other restaurants in South Limburg, and we have to rate RESTAURANT BIJ GIUSEPPE at HOTEL EUREKA, in the Heart of Epen, as ranking among the very best that we visited and dined at. We therefore give it maximum points for 'Good Service, Excellent Food and Great Value. We shall certainly be returning to this restaurant again during our next holiday in Epen, South Limburg , 'The Netherlands'.The restaurant is well suited to accommodate disabled persons. It is situated at Kapelaan Houbenstraat 4, Epen, a very peaceful village town where the local residents are very welcoming and friendly. Epen is the ideal place for holiday makers to stay, and which is a good starting point to explore several places of interest, such as the famous Valkenburg Market town; also Vrijthof Square, Maastricht, and also Aachen, Germany, all of which are within close reach. The borders of all three - Netherlands, Belgium and Netherlands meet a short distance away from Epen, and afford the advantage of visiting all three countries in such a short time.We shall be returning for yet another holiday in Epen, South Limburg, very soon, and will definitely be visiting RESTAURANT BIJ GIUSEPPE at HOTEL EUREKA for another great enjoyable meal.

This is a great place to visit. The food is fresh and well presented. The ice creams were simply amazing. They are all made on the premises and there is so many to choose from. Its possibly the best ice cream I have ever had. We went a few times for lunch whilst visiting family in Holland. The staff were very friendly and its well worth the visit even if you just want a coffee or ice cream.

Small restaurant with great food. Italian cuisine with a lot of great dishes. Very pleasant service and a few good Italian wines to chose from. Also the pizza's are excellent. We will be back!
