Charming hotel in beautiful landscape
Reviewed By Go310180I stayed here as part of a group holiday from 'SNP Natuurreizen'. The location is great for walking and cycling. I liked the wall paintings, the garden and the small aviary in the courtyard. The personnel was very friendly and accommodating. I had a nice room with a view on the courtyard and (over the opposite roof) to the hills. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed good dinners at Geulhof Mechelen, since the dining area was closed (for refurbisment, as I understood it).

Very nice hotel in beautiful Limburg
Reviewed By John ZHoeve de Plei is a very nice hotel in an old farm. Lots of original details but the rooms are modern but simple. No airco which is normally no problem with the thick walls but now in a heatwave the rooms became quite warm. Very friendly owners, good bed, good breakfast and located in a very nice surrounding.

Reviewed By G8605HSamandabThe hotel is amazing. We went as a party of 16 cyclists to cycle the Amstel Gold Sportive and then watch the race itself (which went right past the hotel twice!). Every single person in the group commented on how lucky we had been to find the hotel and how fantastic the location, the staff and the food was. Leonda's communication beforehand was exceptional and everything was very easy. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We had a delicious 3 course set menu in the restaurant every night - the food was exceptional (including breakfast which had fresh fruit, bread still warm from the bakery, delicious jams, hams and cheeses and lovely juices). Nothing was too much trouble for them - even bringing breakfast early by an hour and a half to cater for us on the day of our 150km cycle. Thank you to the hotel - we will be back next year!

Reviewed By Cambodia-crossingsStayed here for a mid-week. Check-in went smooth but nothing special. Apartments are nothing special. Our outdoor deck hadn't been cleaned for some years. This meant that it was very slippery after a rain shower. Management seem less interested in guests, there are no efforts to get reviews neither by email or orally. We were also promised a dish washer, but did get dish washing liquid instead (yeah). The restaurant has pizza evening each Monday and Friday. It promises prices are from 6 euro. there not, they're from 8 euro! Otherwise a good enough place to stay nothing special, convenient located for cyclists and walkers alike.

One of the best experiences at a Bed & Breakfast!
Reviewed By cindymloveWe cannot say enough nice things about Geil (William) :) He became like family to us. My family of 5 stayed at Villa-commandeur and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house and bedrooms were immaculate. Very clean yet cozy. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning and enjoyed our conversations so much with the owner. He was such a tremendous help also directing us with the right places to go and things to do to meet our families needs. We always felt "at home" when we came back each night which is a lovely feeling when you've been out site-seeing/touring/indoor skiing/Christmas market shopping all day. I would highly recommend his bed and breakfast to others! Thank you so much Geil!!!

Van de persoonlijke gastvrijheid, de kleine attenties (wijn en appelsap uit de streek, bonbons), het schone appartement met prettige bedden en de ruime badkamer met ligbad. Het fenomenale uitzicht en het ruime terras met zitje en ligbedden maakt het af. Je kunt er heerlijk in de tuin genieten. De omgeving is ideaal voor fietsen of wandelingen in bos of door de weilanden. Op loopafstand leuke terrassen en restaurants waar je lekker kunt eten. Om te onthaasten en ontspannen heerlijke plek!

Amazing breakfast
Reviewed By Des HThis was a last minute booking as we needed to stay in the Maastricht area after staying in another hotel that had been booked weeks earlier. This pension had two clean rooms for us but did not serve evening meals, only breakfasts. We did not have any tea/coffee making facilities nor were there any usb charging points. On the other hand, the shower was excellent. In the morning, we were shown to our numbered table where there was a fruit cocktail and a glass of orange juice waiting for each of us. There was also a selection of spreads and various jams. A boiled egg for each was quickly produced together with tea, coffee and a large selection of breads and rolls and a platter of cheeses and meats. Absolutely the best continental breakfast that we have had put before us. There was no way that we would leave that dining room hungry for more.

Reviewed By Helemaal HEen heerlijke B & B. Margreet en Erik weten als geen ander hoe je een gast in de watten moet leggen. Bedden zijn heerlijk. Kamers zijn keurig netjes en fris. Ontbijt is uitstekend. Ze zorgen er voor dat het aan niets ontbreekt. Wandelroutes liggen klaar. Ze zijn in voor een fijn gesprek. Genieten in de heerlijke tuin. Makkelijk parkeren. Wij waren er met 5 personen. 2 stellen en 1 alleen. 1 kamer voor twee personen met eigen badkamer. 3 kamers met 1 badkamer. Wel fijn dat we die alleen met familie hoefden te delen. Al met al enorm genoten van alles. Bedankt!

Reviewed By John ZWe took dinner on the terrace. The view is beautiful but you need more to call yourself a good restaurant. The meals were average and it was the most expensive dinner we took during our stay in Limburg: average dinner at a not-value-for-money-price on a beautifull terrace.
