Dining with Atalya is an unforgettable experience that you will want to share with your friends and family because words cannot do her hospitality justice. I was lucky enough to be invited to a dinner hosted by Atalya at her lovely home for a close friend and the meal was easily one of the best I have ever had. However, to comment just on the food alone would be a disservice to Atalya, as the experience encompasses far more than just a meal. Beginning with cocktails and a sunset view from her roof, Atalya was a cultural ambassador for Ein Kerem, describing the historical, cultural, and culinary significance of her beloved home town. And this unique joy and attention to detail carried over into the meal, a multi-course feast that fully displayed all the region has to offer. From ceviche to spinach in phyllo to fresh fish and lamb chops with tzatziki, during each small course Atalya told us charming stories about her quests throughout Ein Kerem, Mahane Yehuda, the Old City, and Mea Shearim to find the best local ingredients and rediscover the traditional ways of turning these ingredients into the iconic dishes for which the region is now famous. Even the local wines, paired expertly with each course, were accompanied by tales of similar artisans and their crafts. And of course the meal concluded with some phenomenal desserts with local influences. In short, if you dine at Atalya's you will definitely have a great meal, but you will also come away with a deeper appreciation of the city, the region, and its food and a fantastic memory of an experience that will not soon be forgotten.WOW! you made me excited do much! We were given advice about the available choices. We thought it was good value and really enjoyed the experience. I would advise booking. We visited this bar twice in one night - once sitting outside on Jaffa Street and once sitting inside at the bar. On both occasions, the service was excellent - friendly and knowledgeable. The beers we drank were all local Israeli craft beers. I would highly recommend the Fat Cat pale ale, the 10% Belgian inspired draft beer (Essen?) and also the Bhindi. Grab some salted peanuts from one of the other traders in the markets and settle in for a solid session!

Dining with a perfect view of the Old City walls was a lovely birthday treat!My appetizer of Roasted Bone Marrow with nuts, fresh herbs salsa, garlic, cabernet sauce & toasted spelt bread was absolutely delicious, 5 stars, & more than enough food for one meal, period. Couldâve quit there.Charcoal-grilled Entrecôte entree was only okay...flavorful, but not tender; gave away most to my husband.Desserts were all amazing, non-dairy, scrumptious & 5 stars: âFloating Islandâ with steamed meringue, lemon cream, orange yuzu sorbet & crispy mint leaves; âSnickersâ chocolate tart with peanut cream & hot salted toffee (thought it would be my favorite); & Semolina cake with sous vide apricots, pistachio streusel & apricot sorbet (as a birthday gift from the restaurant, & the best of all three).At the conclusion of the meal, our server asked us to write a review & mention her name. However, this was the only restaurant in 4 weeks in the country where this occurred, & it still leaves me with mixed feelings. I understand that servers are given a monetary bonus when positive reviews including their names are posted. But asking outright for a review in an establishment like this seemed out of character. On a whim, we went back to this restaurant restaurant/bar after quite a few years.We were with good friends and enjoyed the ambience which is apparently designed to give the feeling of being in the underwater Blue Caves near Eilat, the outstandingly good [and I mean just that!] service, and of course the excellent food.Highly recommended!
