This is a ryokan with a long history! One can witness that great effort has been put in in the upkeep of the buildings and rooms. We went during cherry blossom season and we saw plenty of cherry blossom at parks nearby. Food is great and the serving plates are even more amazing. The owner is a friendly guy who spend most of his time in the ryokan, making sure all is done according to his standard. Rooms are big and service is impeccable. You are are around there, you should truly consider staying in this ryokan. A side tip: there is a little cafe across the street from the ryokan, they serve amazing cheese cakes that are home made. It's heavenly!
