The Forsthauspfaendle was outstanding, the Kaesespaetzle as an vegetarin option very yummy as well. The steaks were just okay, go for omething else.Nice bavarian atmosphere. Playroom for kids!

A beautiful space and romantic....perfect lighting, modern decor. Competent wine list..discreet and helpful wait staff..the menu is so interesting, especially for Garmisch. I loved this restaurant! Dinner was romantic . I ordered the Zander fillet...I have never had it prepared anywhere as well as here. The Thai soup was aromatic and soooo good....I miss this restaurant, and hope to come back.

I really love their Tagliatelle, but I'm also really into their avocado toast. It's a little pricey for like half of an avocado on toast, but it's SOOOOO good! My husband really enjoys their chicken and waffles. It's not the same as the southern American version- so be aware- it's a little spicy. But he says it's SO good and totally worth it. They give you one of those delicious little almond cookies with your coffee too! If you're craving something sweet, I really enjoy their nutella waffle. But I don't go for sweets often, and I had that one in a previous visit a long time ago. I hope they still have it!

Itâs worth to eat in this restaurant instead of trying to go to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen city center, unless you are interested in a simply Bavarian kitchen. Weingartâs is a fine dining restaurant with fabulous view on Bavarian Alps. I had here very tasty beef tartar and the only reason why I donât give maximum rating points is the fact that my rib eye steak, ordered medium rare, was in fact prepared as medium.

A new highlight in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with a clever chief that consistently produces lovely meals. (Our 4th visit). Comfortable outside area and tastefully decorated restaurant. Excellent multi- lingual service. A big improvement in a town already well served by excellent restaurants. Very good house wines. This is by far the best Italian in and around Garmisch. Itâs cozy, small, seats inside and outside and really unique decoration. You actually feel like in Italy. You have to bring a bit of time. Iâve been there now three times and there always just one waitress and itâs always busy. So it might take a while until you can place an order but they are very charming and itâs not negative. As soon as you placed your order everything goes smoothly.Food is amazing. We had pasta and pizza and oh my gosh try that onion soup!!!!!

We have now visited most restaurants in Garmisch and if you are searching for authentic Bavarian atmosphere with a dining experience that encapsulates the region in both food and drink then this hostelry should be top of your list.I would recommend that you make a booking (it was extremely busy on both our visits) and also make time for a pre-dinner drink in the charming little bar area where the barman will pour a perfect glass of local beer.The food is simply wonderful. The portions are more than adequate - not as gargantuan as some you will find locally - and they manage to balance quantity and quality with great skill.My wife chose schnitzel on both visits, whilst I opted for local trout on the first night followed by braised beef in red wine on the second. Our son was also very happy with his pork on the first visit and farmer's grill on the second.I had no room left for a pudding !We chose a carafe of Trocken white wine, which was very pleasant.In conclusion, I simply cannot heap enough praise on this outstanding restaurant. The staff are wonderful, prices are very reasonable, and the setting - both interior and exterior - are utterly charming. We tried the hamburger, the raclette steak and the Groschtl that consists of 2 friend eggs and potatoes with a selección oficial meat. Everything was good and tasty. The waitress provided with coloring book and pencils for the child's entertainment. Waiting time was good as well as not expensive prices. If you are around, you will probably want to make a visit.
