The wife and I ended up here on our way to Calgary after checking reviews in the area. We were a late lunch or early dinner depending on your time table, so we were the only folks in the place at the time. However, there were several folks who stopped in for take out during our stay. The interior was well decorated and clean as a whistle. They did a good job with the layout and colors. The service was attentive and friendly.We started off with steak bites as an appetizer. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the accompanying mushrooms were battered and fried, but not like a typical deep fried mushroom...a more soft and delicate texture with great flavor. We really enjoyed the mushrooms. The dish came with four dipping sauces to mix up the flavor profile a bit.I ordered spicy butter chicken and the wife ordered mild Thai coconut chicken, and we shared. They were both healthy portions and included rice and some of the best naan bread ever! Naan was clearly freshly made and hot off the flat top. Both chicken dishes were excellent in every aspect, especially the sauces. The hard part was walking away from using the naan bread to soak up every drop.We will definitely include ChaCha Johns on our future trips this way. Highly recommend!

After a recent hockey game in Okotoks, we were looking for something spicy for dinner. A quick search lead to Spices. Don't let the strip mall location turn you away, this is delicious and well prepared East Indian food. We had palak paneer, chan masala, vegetable biryani and tikka masala. The biriyani was flavourful with a delicate cardemmon and loads of tender vegetables. The spinach paneer was rich and velvety. The chan masala was hearty. Definitely don't skip the garlic naan it was delicious. All dishes are prepared fresh to order, be patient, it is worth the extra time to get this fantastic food.While I realize that you posted this lovely review of our restaurant a fair few months ago, I would like to express our gratitude for your kind words. If you are looking for an excellent Indian restaurant look no further than Namaste in Okotoks. Amazing food, lovely location, wonderful service and very good value for money. The head chef is also the owner and is always prepared to accommodate special requests. My family and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
