We have been coming to Naxos for over twenty years but have only just discovered this gorgeous traditional village and this wonderful taverna. The village of Mili is a short, easy drive from the main town but it feels as though you have entered another world. There is a delightful walk through the village past ancient trees and channels running with crystal clear water. Following the water down a magical path and you come across this traditional cafe where you can order delicious food and drinks and sit under the trees looking over a stunning valley. This is our new must go to place on Naxos. We have fallen in love with it.Actually is just a small kafenio... and we are very happy that you liked our small beautiful village! Although it is a beach bar restaurant, Tohu exceeds by far its category, with dishes who surpass the quality of a good restaurant combined with a pure Greek hospitality (credits to the beach girl) making us fell comfortable all day long. We have eaten here many times over the last five years and the food has always been excellent. A really nice relaxed atmosphere and the sunset views are amazing. The Moustakis family and all the staff are really nice and friendly too. We will definitely be back.

We had the âbriamâ (something like ratatouille)and the soutzoukakia with fries (meatballs) along with traditional naxian cheese and pita bread. Then baklava with ice cream for dessert and watermelon. Every dish I mention was better than the other. We were told that all the vegetables are naturally grown by the family who owns the restaurant and who also runs it. A family owned restaurant with very fair prices and truly traditional food (I am saying this as a greek who lives in Greece). As opposed to many tavernas on the greek islands ânaxian gastronomyâ is the real deal.

Elena runs both the hotel and restaurant opened just a year ago in this underpopulated gorgeous spot in central Naxos. The food is sublime - most of it coming from her own garden (right next to the outdoor eating) and her own olive grove. Absolutely amazing cocktails and smoothies as well. A real high point to our visit to Naxos!

We werenât sure what to order, and our wonderful server steered us towards their house specialties. I had the stuffed pork which was the most delicious meat I have ever tasted! The house made wine was delicious, but strong! One glass will be enough...What incredible service and hospitality!
