This isn't really the "standard taverna fare" advertised by previous reviewers. All they do is grilled meat and gyros. If you are hoping for other Greek dishes then go someplace else.Most of the meat dishes were good but the chicken souvlaki did not appear to be home made and was heavily salted.Annoying musician soundchecking for 40 minutes solid rather spoiled the ambiance.All else as previously reviewed. Would suggest lunch rather than dinner here.

what a nice spot to eat lunch after renting a beach chair and spending a few hours at the beach. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English, a nice surprise! Had a great cheeseburger with fries and an aloe vera pomegranate drink, special to Naxos....Really enjoyed my stay here, would definitely return if given the option!

A fantastic traditional family taverna in the hills with beautiful sunset views overlooking Chora (Naxos town) and the nearby island of Paros. The meals are based on traditional Naxian delights with the flavours of the island from local farmers. All our meals were amazing and rich in flavour from the starters of saganaki, winter tzatziki (made with beetroot instead of cucumber), tomato and feta salad with capers, grilled peppers, tiropita (cheese pie) to the main dishes of roasted white beans, grilled village sausage and grilled beef. And to finish our host gave us a serving of Greek yoghurt topped with fig jam a great way to end our wonderful meal. Coming into winter a lot of places close so we telephoned to confirm they would be open and arranged a time around 7pm. Incredible friendly service and wonderful food means this is a taverna you must visit.

We drove to this taverna after a recommendation from a local, who said the souvlaki was the best on the island. It certainly was tasty, and the portion was huge. The local wine was very good, and the other dishes we ordered were nice too. Service could have been better, but overall we enjoyed our meal here.

A really nice kitchen bar where you can taste a variety of dishes and have a drink in a beautifully decorated space. Ideal for a night out with friends or family as it is in a quiet part of Chalki village, very close to the parking. Very reasonable prices too!

We werenât sure what to order, and our wonderful server steered us towards their house specialties. I had the stuffed pork which was the most delicious meat I have ever tasted! The house made wine was delicious, but strong! One glass will be enough...What incredible service and hospitality! We enjoyed a lovely lunch here during our visit to Apiranthos. The restaurant has a terrace which offers incredible views across to the mountains and the local scenery. The staff seemed quite harassed and were not so attentive. We enjoyed a Greek salad and tzatziki with wine and a Pilsner. The food was very reasonably priced and the restaurant seemed popular with the Greeks as well as tourists. Highly recommended.
