One chef per group - we were four. V. expensive menu. Wine was reasonably well priced. Food was ding, ding, ding - superb. Every course was perfectly served, delicious, and different. We chose all three standards of steak, and all were excellent. Service was personal, friendly and pleasant. Two teens very happy; two adult even happier. Really impressed.One tip. Make sure you confirm your booking directly. We arrived at a slightly awkward time when a nice French family who had booked 'via an agent' were informed that there was no record of their booking. Poor them, they missed out.

We wandered around Kyoto for a while looking for the âperfectâ Kobe Beef experience. We stumbled into this place after wandering around the city for a while and weâre not disappointed!!!Great value for the fantastic meal! Would definitely return!!!!!!!Taise was a great server and took very good care of us. Cosy place on Pontocho lane. First time to taste Wagyu. Reasonable prices. GREAT taste. We had the Wagyu sushi which had a bit of drama. The steak was delicious. The broccoli with anchovie gave me some good recipe ideas. The wine was a nice chilean red which went really well with the steak. Highly recommend. You won't get a nicer steak in this price range.

All reviews are bang on! This place is exceptional and so well priced. I did have the wagyu and I realized Iâm not really a fan but no disrespect to the chef! Soft shell crab excellent. Asparagus as well. Gutted I went on my last night or I would have eaten here every night. I felt like I was in there home AND today I got an email which was so gorgeous with pics of me at the restaurant at and thanking me for coming to their restaurant. Wow! Other places would get epic reviews if they cared about their patrons like these guys do.Thank you for your hospitality! I will tell all my clients to visit

The food and atmosphere are amazing. I went with a Japanese friend who speaks a little English, and I don't speak much Japanese. Fortunately our waiter had excellent English, and was kind enough to translate all of his conversation for me. It really helped me to enjoy the memorable meal. Also, we went on a Saturday afternoon around 1, and had the place to ourselves. Just us, the waiter and the chef. Great Japan experience.

Didnât have the Kobe but the steak we had was extremely well cooked and delicious. The standards of the sides also top notch - particularly the wedges which may have been the best Iâve had. Service was good and staff catered for us appropriately. Would come back.

Miscommunication with our waiter was part of our issue. The food was overpriced and we only got 3 pieces of meat each for over 100 dollars. The staff was nice and the meat was good, but it was pretty dissapointmenting overall. The drinks were watered down as well.
