The restaurant is cosy and nicely decorated in a beautiful location. The service was very nice. The place is very child-friendly. The food was very good and very nicely prepared.A great place after a hike/stroll across the Zicker peninsula.

Eine schlichte Location mit leckerem Rostocker schön kühl vom Fass und einem traumhaften Ausblick! Fischbrötchen auch sehr lecker, ebenso die Fritten mit Kibbeling!!!

Wer das Fischbrötchen *frischer geht`s nicht* und zudem megalecker erleben möchte, der sollte den Abstecher hierher einplanen. Es wird auf Bestellung gearbeitet, und genau das macht das einmalige Geschmackserlebnis aus. Besser geht`s nicht. Anreise per Fahrrad ist natürlich überhaupt kein Problem, sofern man in der Nähe wohnt, aber selbst die vierrädrigen Besucher finden einen Parkplatz. Alles also, das wiederhole ich mich gerne, tatsächlich perfekt!

Wir haben bei schönen Wetter vor dem Restaurant gesessen und wurden mit Hund herzlich empfangen. Die Spargelcremesuppe und der Wildschweinbraten waren lecker. Wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

enttäuscht, dass nach einer langen, wenn gleich naturell sehr reizvollen Wanderung von Göhren nach Thiessow zum Rügen Markt dieser just zu unserer Ankunft 16:00 schloss, liefen wir weiter richtig Südperd, dem südlichsten Zipfel von Rügen und der wunderschönen Halbinsel Mönchgut. Beim Warten auf den Bus für die Rückfahrt fiel uns der am Restaurant angegliederte Imbiss der "Mönchguter Fischerklause" an der Villa Daheim auf. Oh mein Gott, das Heilbuttbrötchen was ich aÃ, war wohl das leckerste, was ich je gegessen habe....und schwupps drehte ich mich um, als es aufgegessen war, um noch eins zu kaufen. ;-)Im Gespräch mit dem Wirt offenbarte er uns, dass er wöchentlich einen Fischimbiss im Chemnitzer Vita-Center mit frischem, selbst geräucherten Fisch beliefert. Fazit: Vergesen Sie den Rügen-Markt, die Fischerklause MÃSSEN Sie besuchen, Fischbötchen essen und die reizvolle Natur sehen!

"Gasthof Zum Walfisch" is a wonderful Restaurant and small Hotel in the remote fishing village of Lobbe/Rügen. Owned by the same family since 1888 it offers 19 rooms for the price of 28,- to 45,-⬠p/P per night with breakfast, depending on the season. It has a lovely Restaurant with maritime decoration, also telling the story how the house got its name. The menue is small but nice and the prices are really moderate depending on the location.Starters from 4,30 to 6,60 Soup from 3,80 to 3,90 Salads from 3,20 to 8,40 Fish from 8,90 to 12,90 and Meat from 8,20 to 20,- â¬.The service is friendly, quick and helpful and the dishes are really tasty, we tried fried herring and it was really wonderful.in front of the house is a lovely beergarden where you can sit when the weather is fine, the Baltic Sea is only a stonethrow away.

This restaurant is located on the beach at near the end of a great bike trail. The food is typical northern-german cuisine, with lots of fish options, as well as some alternate choices. The ambiance is comfortable, yet retains a typical high standard of food and service. Its an excellent spot for a lunch break on a long bike ride or for dinner with car and friends. There is an observation tower a few minutes walk from the restaurant offering a splendid view of the entire peninsula.

This fish restaurant was very good. The menu includes typical German as well as international dishes. All were very tasty. The portions were adequate for us, but might not be enough for more hungry people; I recommend ordering an appetizer. The value-for-money could therefore be improved. The service was exceedingly friendly and very casual. The restaurant belongs to the Hotel "Deutsche Flagge" (see corresponding review here on tripadvisor). However, one can enter it without passing through the hotel, and so it does not have the feel of a hotel-restaurant.
