Kamen am 8.9. mit 4 Personen und wollten gen 15:00 auf der Terrasse ein spätes Mittagessen genieÃen. Innerhalb von 25 Minuten gelang es uns nicht, eine Bestellung bei der im sozialistischen Schontempo und mit entsprechender Freundlichkeit agierenden Bedienung aufzugeben. Die freundliche Anfrage nach ca. 15 Minuten wurde zwar mit âgleichâ beschieden, das warâs dann aber auch. Wir gingen. Keineswegs als erste. Wir waren der 4. Tisch der unverrichteter Dinge von dannen zog; zwei Biker brachen direkt nach und auf!Im âEiscafé & Restaurant Merländerâ, das (von auÃen nicht zu sehen) auch über eine schöne Terrasse verfügt, trafen wir eine 5-er-Gruppe Leidensgenossen wieder, die ebenfalls wie wir sehr freundlich und zügig bedient wurden und deren Kaffee & Kuchen ebenso lecker wie unser verspätetes Mittagessen war.

Visiting Stendal every now and then I was rather disappointed with culinary experience in total. Yes, until I visited this hidden gem. For reasons unknown, it escaped my queries, but that will not happen again. Fantastic food, a very creative yet uncomplicated menu, great preparation, friendly staff and a nice, cosy beer-garden will make sure of that.Only after the dinner I found out that it was #1 on TripAdvisor. I second that!

Als erstes, Essen schmeckt. Etwas nüchterne Einrichtung. Waren wohl kurz vor SchlieÃung und der Chef machte einen etwas mürrischen Eindruck. Hat sich dann aber gebessert. Ach so Italienisch/Griechische Speisekarte!

Friendly service and freshly prepared, excellent food. You can't ask for anything more, and then you realize you're sitting outside, in the shade from a tree in the courtyard, absolute relaxation!

I went to the charming town of Tangermunde (where my grandmother was born and raised) to track down info on my family. Early in my stay I ate at the Zum Post, a very good meal at a reasonable price in a very nice restaurant with a good bier garden. I mentioned my family search during that first meal there (which was not my last!). Not only did the owner who was serving me seem interested but she made a suggestion about a very old resident of the town who might have known my family. Then, she made arrangements for me to visit this lady, who did, in fact, have information for me, and passed me on to another acquaintance of my family. Spending 2 weeks in Tangermunde I passed the restaurant a number of times, and every time the owners greeted me with a friendly handshake. Definately service above and beyond, and worth going too just for the food and ambiance.

Located at the "edge" of this wonderful old town, this place offers a wide range of fish dishes. We were told it is for miles the best place around - we certainly enjoyed our "Wels".

This restaurant is part of a castle which terrase features a stunning look over the Elbe river.Dining here is a joy as all dishes I tried here boast an excellent taste. This due to the high quality food being used combined with beyond average cooking skills. If you pay Tangermunde a visit and want to dine this restaurant is the best choice you can make

Arrived exactly on time for our reservation. Waited our turn in line behind one other couple for service. The couple in front claimed to have a reservation of which the restaurant had no record. Watched while they argued successfully and were seated. Found out 2 minutes later that they had been given the last table, the one reserved for us. Staff freely admitted that they had our reservation on record but had given away our table under pressure and suggested we go elsewhere.Incompetent organisation and dreadful customer care.

Very pleasant location, set in an old school. You eat in a classroom. Or in the teachers 'room. Or... If you're lucky - someone will play the piano . The food is local style and excellent. They also have accommodation - in the old boarding school.
