This restaurant is part of a castle which terrase features a stunning look over the Elbe river.
Dining here is a joy as all dishes I tried here boast an excellent taste. This due to the high quality food being used combined with beyond average cooking skills. If you pay Tangermunde a visit and want to dine this restaurant is the best choice you can make

Arrived exactly on time for our reservation. Waited our turn in line behind one other couple for service. The couple in front claimed to have a reservation of which the restaurant had no record. Watched while they argued successfully and were seated. Found out 2 minutes later that they had been given the last table, the one reserved for us. Staff freely admitted that they had our reservation on record but had given away our table under pressure and suggested we go elsewhere.
Incompetent organisation and dreadful customer care.

If you have a chance to check out this town do it! It small but amazing, the people were very friendly and this restaurant has amazing food and Beer!

Very pleasant location, set in an old school. You eat in a classroom. Or in the teachers 'room. Or... If you're lucky - someone will play the piano . The food is local style and excellent. They also have accommodation - in the old boarding school.

Die "Störtebeker" (ein Restaurantschiff, dass gleich als solches gebaut wurde) liegt im Hafen von Tangermünde unterhalb der Burganlage. Der Innenraum ist gemütlich eingerichtet, bei warmem Wetter bietet sich das (überdachte) Freideck an. Die Speisekarte ist nicht sehr umfangreich (Schwerpunkt Fischgerichte), aber alles wird frisch zubereitet. Die hausgemachten Rouladen meiner Frau waren ein Gedicht! Das Personal ist sehr flink und freundlich, trotz einer parallel stattfindenen Geburtstagsfeier wurden wir prompt bedient. Während unserer 3 Tage Aufenthalt in Tangermünde waren wir insgesamt dreimal auf dem Schiff (2 x nachmittags, 1 x zum Mittagessen) und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für solch einen Restauranttyp sehr günstig.

Located at the "edge" of this wonderful old town, this place offers a wide range of fish dishes. We were told it is for miles the best place around - we certainly enjoyed our "Wels".

Visiting Stendal every now and then I was rather disappointed with culinary experience in total. Yes, until I visited this hidden gem. For reasons unknown, it escaped my queries, but that will not happen again. Fantastic food, a very creative yet uncomplicated menu, great preparation, friendly staff and a nice, cosy beer-garden will make sure of that.
Only after the dinner I found out that it was #1 on TripAdvisor. I second that!

An Argentinian Steakhouse ideally located on a cobblestone cornerside. Great casual atmosphere watching the passers-by adorning the streets on bicycles.
I had the Fischpfanne consisting 3 different fish on a bed of stir fried veges. The menu also has Australian Kangaroo for the homesick Aussies.
No complaints with the service, meal or ambiance. Staff spoke enough English to make me feel literally inadequate in a small German town.

Das Ristorante Italia steht am Anfang der Stendaler Fußgängerzone in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Sperlingsberg. Das Italia bietet sowohl innen als auch vor dem Haus zahlreiche Sitzplätze. Das Speisenangebot ist so, wie man es bei einem typischen Standarditaliener erwartet. Es gibt keine Überraschungen, nichts besonderes zu entdecken.
Wir sitzen hier ab und zu ganz gerne draussen und trinken etwas, weil es Spass macht, den vorbeiströmenden Passanten zuzuschauen. Wenn wir italienisch essen wollen, haben wir in Stendal aber andere Favoriten.
