After a walk around the lake we came in for a beer and were offered half empty glasses of beer but expected to pay full price, after mentioning this to the staff, which was barely able to speak any german, we were lectured that this is the way to serve beer in Germany. I have working in the food and drinks industry myself and I can say that this was a lie.Will not return or recommend.

was there for a seminar. very quiet place ! nice architecture, with castle keep etc. medieval, stucco: genuine not retro-fake; clean superfriendly attentive staff, very quiet. good meals, rooms are pretty bu small. No extravaganza but a traditional old fashioned hotel -you could just walk into the 1920s. but with all "modern" standard , wifi etc. ample parking nice barns, pretty walking possibilities around.

Eis Service Vulkano is known for qualified and friendly staff and delicious ice cream with high-quality ingredients. You can also enjoy great Italian espresso coffee and their masterpiece that is the banana split. I strongly recommend to visit Eis Service Vulkano if you want to enjoy a great ice cream.

It is a place where it can be eat traditional german food but also some international dishes, there can be also drink many types of wines or the Apfelwein very traditional in Hessen. The service is very friendly, and also tehy offer some spcialities of the day.

Hungener Kasescheune is a restaurant/cheese refiner/working cheese atelier. The place is divided in 3 parts (connected together). During daytime, the production of their own cheese can be observed and bought here (they also refine cheeses from other producers). In the restaurant section, there is a wide variety of cheeses available on the menu, besides other German/French dishes. The wines they serve, are displayed along the walls and can also be bought.Very attentive and skilled staff. They know all the stories behind the cheeses (100% natural, no additives and preservatives) and recommend proper wines to them.Only restaurant I've been, where you can have a cheese platter as main course! Very reasonable prices.Worth the trip!

Ich finde dieses Café sehr einzigartig in der Umgebung - klein, familiär, man fühlt sich wie Zuhause und es ist alles mit Liebe zubereitet. Die kleinen Dekoideen auf den Frühstücksplatten gefallen mir auch sehr gut, wodurch das Essen natürlich noch mehr Spaà macht.Generell sollte man hier auf jeden Fall reservieren, allerdings hat man manchmal auch mit etwas Glück ein spontanes Plätzchen zum Frühstücken.Mittagessen ist hier auch ganz toll!Ich gehe hier seit ca. 2 Jahren gerne mit meinem Freund essen und wurde bisher nie enttäuscht!

I loved the hotel, the stay and also the overall environment in the restaurant. The beer was fantastic and for someone who is not a beer person, I enjoyed drinking it.However the food was not the best I had and it could have been my choice of food but all in all I was kind of disappointed ... That being said, the music, cheerful personality of guests and service did make it a lovely experience that will make me return again and try other food. I had ordered the cheese pasta and onions that si served with side salad. The plating was very interesting and appealing to the eye so I did end up eating well. I also tried the pretzel that was also nothing special.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die Menge des Essens waren soweit in Ordnung. Die Suppe war leider zu kalt und versalzen. Generell hat es dem Essen an Gewürzen und Kräutern gefehlt. Das Brot war ohne Butter oä. serviert worden und ein Amuse-Bouche gab es nicht. Einer der Kellner scheinte nichts zu verstehen und war auch sonst unaufmerksam. Beim Hereinkommen wurden wir nicht empfangen und mussten als Gruppe auch etwas länger herumstehen. AuÃerdem dauerte es sehr lange bis alle Hauptspeisen serviert wurden. Die dann auch nicht alle gleichzeitig, sondern zeitversetzt an den Tisch kamen.

Das Landhaus Fürstengarten befindet sich in Nidda-Stornfels in exponierter Lage, die bei guter Sicht den Blick über die Hänge des Vogelsberges, die Wetterau und den Taunus erlaubt. Allein diese Lage ist bei gutem Wetter schon einen Besuch wert. Das Restaurant verfügt über einen schönen Garten, den der Besucher bei sommerlichem Wetter auf jeden Fall nutzen sollte. Die Einrichtung des Restaurants ist ländlich und gemütlich aber ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Eine Modernisierung würde ihm sicherlich gut tun.Das Essen allerdings ist sehr empfehlenswert. Mein Gast und ich, wir haben das Steak vom Angus-Rind mit Salat und Bratkartoffeln genossen. Das Steak ist wirklich hervorragend und unbedingt zu empfehlen. Die Preise sind sehr moderat. Also, beim nächsten Wochenendausflug in den Vogelsberg ist der Besuch eine Ãberlegung wert.
