Situated a short distance from Melle this friendly venue is well worth visiting. A country restaurant located in a converted traditional farm house/barn. High ceilings and lots of gigantic wooden beams housing an open fire, fabulous. The menu is short, offering a choice of two starters and about eight main courses including traditional st Martins goose and dumpling, wild boer and venison steak. A very enjoyable meal.

Amazingly designed merger of modern cool design bar & furniture with scandinavian fir trees : huge raw unpainted stems of Finnish Pine are the single building material for this newly launched restaurant located in a forest. Very high ceiling main room restaurant with several adjacent dining rooms obviously for group dinners.For the food the chef could be a bit more creative: our Wiener Schnitzel was ok, but average - excellent was the huge fried trout from next door lake, however, extra portion rosemary potatoes (5 small pieces) was not brought to the table free of charge as earlier indicated but appeared on the bill for an extra â¬3,90...

Mit dem Gasthof Schrage verbindet mich eine langjährige Freundschaft. Dort habe ich mein erstes Bier getrunken und mein erstes "plattes Kotelett" â übrigens früher eine Institution in Wellingholzhausen â gegessen.Mittlerweile hat der Junior den Betrieb übernommen und gemeinsam mit seiner Frau deutlich modernisiert. Nicht, dass es vorher schlecht war. Jetzt ist es nur alles etwas schlanker und Gesundheitsbewusster â eben moderner.Das neue Konzept schlieÃt ein, dass es auch hier und da besondere Aktionen gibt. So wurde letzten Sonntag der Smoker angeworfen und eine breite Palette allerlei Fleischiges und Fischiges aufgelegt. Das war wieder ein guter Grund diese sympathische "Dorfgaststätte mit Blick über den Tellerrand" wieder mal zu besuchen,

This is a really nice quaint restaurant and I have been here twice now. The retro decorations create a fun ambiance, and the service is friendly and helpful. The food is also great but since this is a small restaurant, please take the time to enjoy the company you are spending time with, the food takes a bit longer here. I have had the Sylter Chicken and the Lamb, both were excellently prepared. However, I do think that they should offer either a special dish or change up their menu, to encourage people to come more often. They do not have a high chair for young children, so this restaurant is probably suitable for those with older children.

Went to this nice restaurant today for lunch, staff was really friendly and the food was amazing, really great atmosphere for the whole family and great hospitality from the staff. The restaurant also had a great self service table with nice food, my favourite was the wild pheasant and duck specialty, tasted great. Big 5 star to the chef!

Stayed in the hotel so ate dinner in the restaurant. It's lovely. It's fairly pricey but the food is divine. Service was excellent, our waitress, Rosmin, was perfect and should be commended for such good service - smiley, friendly, helpful, just great. The food was lovely and plentiful and the salad bar was an added unexpected extra. Highly recommend the tomato soup starter.

A small coffee shop at the church with some kinds of pie and a small menu. Fine for a short break. It has a terrace both at the front and at the rear.The cafe is open during the day, the restaurant (of the same owner) next to it in the evening.

Nice restaurant in a pretty park area. Our diner was fantastic. Everything is made on the the day and nothing out of packages. Prices are very reasonable. Service was very friendly.We will certainly return to this restaurant when we are in the area.

This restaurant is almost always full so reservations are recommended. Due to the crowds and the layout it is noisy inside, but in a cozy way. The food is good and the portions are huge, but compared to other restaurants of the same cuisine it is a bit expensive.
