Not much open on Sunday it is good to remember when in the Sweden It was my birthday and we went to Kharma because there wasn't much choice. Our food was boring and my entrecôte was disgusting and no amount of sauce can hide that it was flat, hard and old. I couldn't eat it and I can't recommend this restaurant that would dare to serve such food to humans. It was the most disgusting "normal" food - I have ever eaten.Stay away

Tacobuffén var minimalt tilltagen med få alternativ. Vissa av råvarorna kom från konserverna direkt, då personalen valde att fylla på direkt från dem och inte ta med skålarna ut i köket. Smaken var så att barnen kunde äta köttfärsen, svagt kryddad. Vi valde att äta här då vi varit igång hela dagen och skulle sova på gården och inte hade krafter att laga något själva. Det gör vi inte om.Frukosten som serverades i korg följande dag var ok men om ni har chansen ta med er maten själva.

We were guests of the hotel and decided for simplicity to also have the dinner at Fredensborg. We were definitely not disappointed as it was very practical for the kids.For them, there was the possibility to have a minor buffet. I was not very fond of it as the food is the typical "kid food we eat in Sweden" (sausages, meatballs, pancakes...) and I think it is great if they can taste something else than that... (especially since sausages are served with ketchup, pancakes with jam and cream and some don't consider it a dessert).Anyway, giving them food, while we were waiting for our meal to be prepared gave us then a quite peaceful dinner as the kids could run around not strictly controlled in the big park around the herrgård.We ordered the hamburger and it was definitely delicious. One of the best I have had in a long time! Everything on the plate was very nicely put. The drinks choice was quite limited though (not that I am usually interested in the wine list, but in that occasion I was ;-)) and I think it would have been nice to be able to have a wider choice.The service was very good and the staff friendly and very kind to accommodate our wishes.Price was maybe not super affordable, but at least as the food was very good, we were happy about paying that money!

This is a lovely coffee shop in Vimmerby. The coffee is very good and the sandwiches and the pastries, cakes are amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very friendly and helpful Staff.

Der Restaurant Teil sehr schön gestaltet auch der Innenhof mit ein paar Tischen Lounge und Bassin sieht sehr einladend aus. Der Weg dahin fürt durch ein Club mit Bar und Lounge. Auch die Toilette und das Untergeschoss ist schummrig und ganz auf Club ausgerichtet. Auch wurde gerade auf der dazugehörigen Outdoorbühne ein Sound Check durgeführt, dies während gut einer Stunde, was ich nicht super passend fand während dem Abendessen. Die Speisekart ganz ok mit den typischen Ami-Steakhaus Gerichten. Als Starter die Onienrings, Chili Poppers und Mozzarella Sticks Platte für 2 war nichts anspruchsvolles aber und auch sehr gut gebacken. Eher zu gut gebacken. Der Hauptgang kam ganz zügig und war nebst der netten Bedienung auch das Highlit unseres Besuches. Spare Ripes, butterzart und gut gewürzt. Kann ich nur empfehlen die Saucen dazu waren absolut überflüssig. Pommes gut gebacken und das Tiefkühlgemüsw aus dem Wassergezogen nicht nötig. Wenn dann lieber ehrliches, frisches Gemüse. Preis Leistung gut. Auch gut geeignet mit Kindern.

Visitando la casa di Astrid Lindgren, è comodo fermarsi nel ristorantino annesso.State attenti agli orari perché fino alle 13 servono il buffet, che secondo me è quello con il miglior rapporto qualità prezzo - altrimenti si può optare per delle classiche köttbullar in versione bimbo (te ne danno 3) o adulto (te ne danno 8).Il servizio è estremamente lento, quindi se usate l'opzione buffet, vi arrangiate da soli, ma se invece prendete dell'altro, mettetevi comodi per almeno 30-40 minuti, anche se non c'è nessuno che deve essere servito prima di voi.

We came on a saturday evening and had the luck of a table beeing free just as we asked for one. For the kids they had a buffét so they got their food directly. And while we were helping our chlidren with their food ours food came in so you realyy did not expeience any waiting time. The food was nice as well.

I anslutning till à bro Bryggeri i Vimmerby finns sedan 2006 Brygghuset Restaurang & Pub. Vi är en pub med ett brett dryckessortiment samt god, vällagad mat. God mat och dryck helt enkelt.

After getting a terrible restaurant tip from the local Tourist Info office (Monte Carlo, don't go there), we instead headed out of Vimmerby towards the local à bro brewery and its gastro pub restaurant Brygghuset (the Brewery). It is a 20 minute hike along streets and under motorway flyovers so maybe you should take a cab instead (taking your car will preclude you from sampling the brewery's fine product!). We called along the way and booked a table and it was a good thing we did. The restaurant recommended a table outside as the weather was nice and we agreed. When we arrived, however, we found the the outside patio to be little more than a shaded porch, facing the lorry parking lot and fenced in by chain link fence. We immediately swapped tables to one inside the coze, library-like dining hall. There is a second dining hall they call Tysksalen (the German hall, don't ask why) but that was much less cozy. After a little wheedling, we got moved to a nice leather booth with a Tiffany-style lamp. Try to book a booth inside if you're going! The menu looked really good and the selection of beers even better - no surprise as this is a brewery after all! But they also featured lots of lagers, IPAs and bitters from around the world. My wife ordered fish n' chips which was quite good (especially for Sweden where they never seem to get the batter quite right) and I ordered baby-back barbeque ribs. The ribs that were served, however, were the much larger and much tougher spare ribs that I usually avoid like the plague. And these were no better: hardly any meat, tough as nails and tasteless (i.e. devoid of any taste). The kids had pancakes, which was a waste of a chance for kids' burgers or fish n' chips, but they were happy. We also had a chef's selection starter which was fairly priced but ultimately pointless: 8 (count 'em!) home-made tortilla chips, a sausage and cheese mix that was quite nasty, a good olive tapenade and some olives. Skip it. Overall, I'm in two minds about Brygghuset. I really, really want to like it and before the food arrived I was already telling my wife we should go back for dinner the next night. The service was friendly and helpful, the ambience was great, the selection of beers awesome (see the picture of my propping up the bar!) but the food was a let-down. Needless to say, we didn't go back the next night but I would still recommend it as an experience. Just don't order the ribs. :)

A rather popular place, we arrived 15 minutes after opening and it was almost full, so reserve a table just in case.The concept is that you order a lot of smaller dishes (tapasstyle)I must recomend the trufflepasta with pork and the sweet potato fries.The only downside is that if yo want to get full you easily land on 3-400 SEK which is rather overpriced to be in Vimmerby
