We are staying in a villa one street away and wandered down for lunch yesterday. What a fabulous Jimbaran find this was - loved everything about it.Location is directly across from the Jimbaran Bay seafood restaurants that line the sand (no need to visit them !!) - instead try some wonderful Spanish style tapas and fabulous staff hospitality at Akua de Bilbao in a great setting/location, looking through gardens across to the beach.Complimentary bread and 'spanish olive oil' served on arrival and we followed that with potato bravas, barbeque grilled mixed vegetables, meatballs and a garden salad. We could easily have chosen another half dozen plates quite easily from the menu and Specials Board.Relaxing, great service, beers, sangrias or wines as well as cocktails,.Really enjoyed our visit and the number of Spanish guests who arrived while we were there probably confirms its a place chosen by those who know their tapas and Spanish foods.Ola !!!!

This is our third visit to Cuca since we first visited about 5 years ago. The food never disappoints Kevin and his staff do a wonderful job with innovative dishes and reasonably priced. We will be back.

The soothing sound of the ocean waves, your feet in the sand, a gentle breeze through the tablecloth â that is the exact feeling you will experience through having dinner at restaurant Ma Joly in Bali. This restaurant provides an exclusive, intimate destination right at the coastal line of the Indian Ocean. Our team had the chance to dine in one of the few romantic tents located in front of the restaurant. The unique setting on itself makes this restaurant already worth the visit and therefore, we were extra curious about the quality of the dinner and the service at Ma Joly. The chef prepared a special âOhh Cuisine menuâ, which we always really appreciate. The menu was based on the signature dishes of the chef. After our welcome cocktails, the culinary party could begin! The menu started with a dish consisting of warm poached prawns and a potato salad. The prawns were tremendously tasteful and fleshy â exactly what you should expect from a restaurant which could not have been closer to the ocean. The potato led to a nice addition in differing texture next to the mellow gamba. As a second course, the âMa Joly seafood bouillabaisseâ was served to us. This bisque with inter alia gambaâs, crab and crayfish was filled with local Indonesian spices and came over as nicely salty and fresh. A fine piece of Hollandaise gratin beef tenderloin formed the core of our main course. Besides the tenderloin, our plate was filled with some cream pumpkin-potatoes mousseline, edamame, vegetables and a rosemary flavored beef jus. Notwithstanding the fact that we found this dish to be quite regular and not that much surprising on the menu, the presentation of it made it a greatly interesting one. Since the main course had a high level of quantity, we had to save some space to taste the dessert: vanilla mousse in a chocolate roll with some tasteful coconut ice cream, sweet raspberry gelee, sesame seeds and a deep red wine sauce at the side of this all. Once again, the nice presentation of the dish formed a big plus. With all courses, the same wine was served: Two Islands. This is a wine you see a lot in Bali. Despite the fact that the waiters did not mention the story behind the Two Islands wine, we know the origin of this wine is quite an interesting one. Since the excise on alcohol is respectively rather high in this country, the base of this wine (the grape juice) is created in Australia. After the juice creation in Australia, the unfermented juice gets imported to Bali without having to charge the high excise duties for alcohol. In Bali, the fermentation takes place, which ultimately leads to the actual (Balinese) Two Islands wine. Even though this wine is quite nice, it would be a big step up to pour actual pairing wines with the courses at Ma Joly. This way, there would be reached the most out of the taste of the fine dishes. All in all, Ma Joly offers a fantastic dining setting where you can truly admire the most beautiful sunset while having a fine dinner.

the cuisine offered by this restaurant ranges from the Italian to the Australian, serving just Indonesian dishes. excellent quality of meat, Australian Angus and not only. compared to the others it also has a decent wine cellar. for those who like to eat pasta, I can confirm that it is delicious. recommended.

The breakfast was international buffet style with balinase traditional foods and everyone in the family including the little kids were satisfied with the food. There were so many kinds of food and some of the menu had changed everyday, that we enjoyed 4-days-breakfast and also 2-days-lunch. The lunch were served as a la carte. Welcome drink( orange juice with fresh basil) and just-baked black olive Focaccia were excellent start of a lunch. Sandwiches, pizzas and pasta were fantastic. Mi goreng was a little bit salty, but also served with variety of skewers. Definitely willing to visit again, in the next trip to Bali. We came here two evenings in a row as the food was delicious and the service more than exceptional. They have a wide range of Italian, Indonesian and English dishes to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli in blue cheese and cream sauce mmmmm. Desserts were incredible. This place should be very proud of its staff who are very friendly and attentive and do everything to make sure your meal is enjoyable. Special mention to Bella, Mega, Ardi and Ihra (sorry if I've spelt your names wrong!), each of whom were absolutely delightful and made our meals very enjoyable.

During our stay in KUTA, we visited this place twice and, both times, it was delicious! We recommend the Calzone Bella Italia and the bresaola pizza. The reason for the name of my review and my 4*, is that the dough of the pizza could be a little better. We just got back from Naples-Italy and words cannot explain the perfection of their pizzas. However, this place is pretty close to heaven! ;))thank you so much for coming we are glad you enjpyed our food and our place hope to see you soon again
