A fabulous little family operated restaurant tucked up a narrow alley way away from the tourist strip. Excellent service worth the effort to find the restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and wonderful wine list. Even the house red is lovely. The food is superb. We liked it so much we went twice, each time as good as the other. Do yourself a favour and go there - you wonât regret it.

the staff was polite although a bit slowfood was ok: the black linguini with shrimps was ok; the lamb rack below average; the risotto was goodprices resasonable for a nicetable in a pleasant terrasse in cannobio overlooking the lake

Eat in thebrear area garden for lunch...both had pasta dishes which where of a good standard, service was very efficent but lacked a bith of warmth..the coffee here is of a very high standard having sampled espressos in 9 different places in cannobio while here on holiday this ranks #1

The food was marvelous. Do try their cappuccino de porcini and the black truffle risotto - both were amazing. They don't have a wine list but rather you are asked to view their wines and pick from a great selection at the bar, this guarantees that you get what you want.

we had a nice late family lunch there. the service is very nice, friendly and highly efficient. our starter salad was huge. be prepared to do your own dressing with oil and vinegar. then i had a big tartar, again to be prepared by myself, but with all needed ingredients in top quality. my wifeâs pasta was excellent as well. itâs a pretty busy place.

We visited Cannobio with two other couples who frequently vacation here and now we know why this is their favorite restaurant. We had dinner here twice. Everything we had was first-rate. The chateaubriand and pasta dishes were particularly memorable. The staff is particularly accommodating, going so far as to make up a special dessert for one member of our group on his birthday. We have had dinner in this restaurant twice during the last three evenings. Both dinners have been very good. The food was excellent, we had both pasta and main courses. We enjoy it very much. Also the service was very good and friendly. The restaurant can absolutely be recommended.

In a small picturesque village in front of the Laggo Maggiore we spent a delightful lunch at Lo Scalo. The dishes ordered were tasteful and delicately presented and prepared by a highly talented young chef William Sonn. This is definitely worth a stop over. The service was excellent and highly attentive. A wonderful discovery - spread the word !
