It is the capital of the eponymous district of Reutlingen. As of April 2008, it has a population of 109,828. Reutlingen has a university of applied sciences, which was founded in 1855, originally as a weavers' school. Today Reutlingen is home to an established textile industry and also houses machinery, leather goods and steel manufacturing facilities. It has the narrowest street in the world, Spreuerhofstraße (width 31 cm).

This restaurant is located in the pedestrian Mall area on Wilhelm Strasse just a block south of the Marktplatz. It is located inside and upstairs of the Osiander Bookstore. When you get up the escalator, stairs or elevator turn left. The food is very good, they have daily specials and they have good selection of beer and wine. The opening hours are limited to the hours of the book shop. The food is local Schwabian, with an Italian flair. The fish I had was very good and cooked perfect, without being dried out as you find often in the region.

Wir waren im Januar mit Geschäftskunden zum Abendessen. Parkplätze sind am Haus ausreichend vorhanden. Das Gasthaus ist gut bürgerlich eingerichtet und immer gut besucht. Die Speisekarte ist Schwäbisch beziehungsweise deutsche Küche. Die Portionen sind sehr reichlich und es wird auch kleinere Portionen angeboten. Alles in einem : gut ,reichlich essen und guter Preis. Danke an die Küche.
