The town had a population of 5,194 year-round residents in the Canada 2011 Census, as well as summer residents sometimes referred to as "Islanders" because of the Thousand Islands in the Saint Lawrence River, Gananoque's most important tourist attraction. The Gananoque River flows through the town and the St. Lawrence River serves as the southern boundary of the town.

Have been here a few times over the years, while passing through. Always enjoy their homemade soups and fresh, plated lunch offerings. Whenever weâre there though, the meal seems to take inordinately long to arrive, regardless of time of day/week/year, with or without several tables on the go. Hence the âaverageâ rating. But if youâre not in a hurry and want to enjoy a good plate at a reasonable price, this place works.

The first thing that struck me was the property was in need of some sprucing up. The deck needed repair and the inside needed some brightening up. As for the service and food both were very good. I had the brisket which was excellent. One note, brisket this good can stand on its' own and doesn't need tarting up. They have a great product, they just need to spruce up the surroundings.

My wife and I just checked into our hotel in Gananoque and headed here for a light lunch. The day's special was honey glazed chicken burger and it was fantastic The service is very friendly and extremely homely.

We came to Gananoque for our 30th anniversary. As usual we try to eat at local restaurants rather then chain places. We found Grekoâs thanks to the reviews found here. Totally impressed! We were staying at Holiday Inn and ordered the lasagne. What a great choice! There is only one other place, Theoâs in Orillia that has lasagne this good. For years all other things we have tried have been disappointing. Now we wish we had found this sooner as it was on the last day of our trip to Gananoque. We will definitely be back again! If everything else is as good and obviously by the other reviews it is, they have set the quality standard very high.

First time we ate here was years ago, for dinner - and a buffet breakfast!This visit was the included breakfast option as part of our stay - and it was quite tasty! Great way to start the day!Did I mention the incredible waterfront views in the dining room? Beautiful!Thank you for your 5 bubble rating and review and we thank you for visiting us! We are fortunate to have the location we do offering breathtaking views of the St Lawrence River, which can be enjoyed in every season!

I had heard about this restaurant but had never been here until today. I met an old buddy for breakfast, Gananoque being about halfway between our homes. The friendly lady who took our order also does the cooking, and everything was excellent. The food arrived hot and very shortly after we had ordered; portions were generous; everything was fresh and tasty; and even the coffee was good. And all this for less than twenty bucks, all in! This one is destined to become a favourite!

The restaurant at the Woodview Inn was excellent. We ate there our first night and went back again the second to try other items on the menu. The choices offered variety, the food was perfectly prepared, and the service was prompt and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The day we went one waitress just didn't show up and one very busy lady had to serve all the tables. She was running her tail off and was still friendly, polite and efficient. Typical fish and chips nice order of onion rings.
