Very good breakfast place. Very friendly staff, great food and setting. The only negative thing is the waiting time to get in. There are quite some tables but demand definitely supersedes the capacity of this place, so you need to wait in a que to get in (expect up to 30 min waiting).They offer great egg Benedict - plane or with salmon. But star of this restaurant are definitely souffle pancakes with cream and fruits. Njami!

Came across this by accident, but it was excellent. Ice coffee and Shaved Ice, it's a ticket service system, but fast and friendly staff. Shaved ice came out like flavored snow with ice-cream on the side. Saw some of the other dishes being served and while i didn't taste them they looked fantastic.

Stumbled upon this cafe while walking along the Shurikinjocho stone-path. Perched close to the top of the hill, Madama's shady al fresco dining area offers a sweeping view of Okinawa and serves as a great place to enjoy the afternoon breeze. The owner was extremely friendly (even by Japanese standards), and very welcoming. I had the Okinawa Soba (noodles in soup with pork), and the simmered pork was unbelievable. A very, very pleasant way to spend the afternoon -for lunch, tea, or just a quick break.

We tried this off-the-beaten-path restaurant for lunch. The staff greeted us at the door and led us to a cute room in the back. They had high chairs for our eight month old, and brought him small bowls and silverware. The lunch menu was small but everything on it looked great. We had the pizza and the spaghetti. Both tasted fresh and homemade. We had the cheesecake and creme brûlée for a special treat. Both were worth getting. We paid with yen, I'm not sure if they take cards.

I think every travelers would love to try something local / traditional. Here, we can try the traditional sweets in this traditional place with a good price. There are 4 different sweets with a cup of tea (refillable), the sweets are tasty. And the staff in there are very nice & can speak fluent English.
