We called into the Excel Arts and Cultural Centre for some information only to discover the cafe on the ground floor. The place had plenty of locals in it which we took to be a good sign so decided to have lunch. The food was fine, coffee was good and the staff were very friendly. This café was off the track, but the visitor centre didn't do lunches, and Granny's Kitchen was closest. Cheap food, a good variety, nice range of cakes, and did sit in or take out food. Doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is which is a good cheap café which serves nice food.
