Homemade treats are on sale in this quaint old church-the original Methodist place of worship in the area. We enjoyed our afternoon tea there.Also a gift shop with some local craft and tubes of Manuka Magic on sale. Open only Thursday to Monday 10-4.30 and worth stopping by.Look for the spire!

It was hard to rate this cafe. It's new and the food is delicious, but the atmosphere, is, unfortunately not as good as the food. We've been a couple of times, and the food has been consistently good, but the atmosphere of the cafe lets it down. We felt like we were eating in an old folks dining room. It would be really nice to see a less formal layout to tables, and maybe even on nice days, some tables outside. Get rid of the 'old people' feel to it.

Called in to try the new cafe, coffee first and then perhaps something tempting and found they have doughnuts!! Not just any old doughnuts, they have SALTED CARAMEL BRIOCHE doughnuts with freshly whipped cream! And they are to die for!! The dough was even crispy in some places! We also tried a vegetarian sausage roll and it was delicious!!Loved the staff, super friendly. The only problem, is that as more people find out about it, it will get harder to find a seat! Please don't spread the word!!This has to be a 5 cafe star all round.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I hadn't been there for a wee while but found the food to be consistent, fresh and hot. I had creamy mushrooms which were so tasty and plenty of them too; I would certainly order this again.

On a trip back to Auckland we stopped off here for breakfast. Wow what a surprise it's definately not your regular cafe but the food is amazing I couldnt get through the small breakfast it is absolute value :-)

A great variety of food, great presentation and best of all, the coffee and food tasted great! Went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and we all choose different meals, and all looked tempting and inviting. No one was disappointed. A great time had by all. A very popular place!

I have hyperacusis and took my ear plugs out to give our order which was a lovely little salmon and cream cheese bagel with a very tasty salad. My husband had two poached eggs on whole grain toast. When the man who took the order brought us our perfect cappuccinos, he offered to turn the music down (which was not overly loud). I was impressed by this caring gesture and said 'Yes please'. The Cinema cafe has a lovely atmosphere. Their fruit loaf is delicious too.Hey Mary, I'm really glad you enjoyed your experience with us.I will pass this on to our awesome team. After travelling past Murrayfield several times over the years (both directions) we decided to make Murrayfield our meeting place for Brunch before teeing off our golfing weekend. We were warmly greeted, a table set up for our group, efficient ordering of food and coffee and everything arrived in quick time. Food was very nice, coffee great, atmosphere a little sparse with only a few people in at the time but comfortable. Very friendly staff chatted to us when food was delivered. A pleasant meeting place for our group.

We drove past this cafe and stopped for lunch. Food was good, but the service was even better. Staff are very polite and attentive and made sure you're looked after. We dealt with 3 different staff and the experience was the same overall. Definitely be back.

I have been bitterly disappointed by going out for brunch lately. But this place is a little gem and I think a great place to stop if heading north or visiting Horowhenua. Table service which barely any cafe in my home town of Nelson can get a grip on, the concept of seasoning and also not a hard poached egg in sight. But the jewel in the crown was the menu has black pudding on it! Other cafes take note because this is how you do it. You don't need to be fancy just get the basics right.
