We went as a group of eight people for a 70th Birthday celebration. We were informed at the time of booking, at the confirmation of booking and TWICE on arrival we only had the table for two hours. Ok, we get it. If this is the case, it is the responsibility of the wait staff and the kitchen staff to get the food out in a timely manner. After an hour and a half, 20 minutes after the starter had been cleared, 6 of us had our mains, but there was no sign of the other two. We had to ask if they were coming. We were told, "The chefs are all about the presentation", though clearly not about making sure we all have our food at the same time. And clearly not about making sure we have time to have our meal. After the main course, we were not asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, again we had to ask for it. When the waitress came to give us the menu, we were told we couldn't have the chocolate fondant as it took 10 minutes to cook and we didn't have time. Maybe if we hadn't had to wait for half an hour for our main courses, we would have had time. Maybe if we hadn't had to ask for a dessert menu we would have had time. We were not slow eaters and the manager, after checking the timings admitted there had been a delay. He gave us a "round of drinks" off the price as compensation. This amounted to a bloody Mary, a cider and a coke (as all the other drinks had been wine). Great. We ate our celebratory meal with one eye on the clock and were made to feel like second class citizens.I was so conscious we had to be out. The wait staff, managerial staff and chefs ensured our celebration meal was nothing like we'd hoped for. Really disappointed.

Traditional bar and Bistro international menu ,with live music each night open everyday closed Christmas day
The restaurant really lets the bar part of this establishment down. The bar is great and has character and the Guinness is great but the restaurant is another story! The food was extremely average considering the waiting times, we werenât the only table that this was happening to, there were a number of tables around us that were getting frustrated. We eventually got our starter and finished this and waited another 30 mins and no member of the waiting staff came near us. I had to go and get someone to clear our table & get our mains which as previously mentioned were hardly worth the wait.I know this is a well known tourist area and it can be busy at times but there is no excuse for shabby service, the waiting staff really didnât give a hoot they were just going through the motions. Definitely will return to the bar but wonât be eating here again.

Had a meal Saturday the 27th. All i can say was terrible food. Lasagne was all dried up and covered in Cheese to disguise it. To be honest it looked like it came from a supermarket freezer. The chicken coujons were tock hard and over cooked. Fries were barely warm. I would not recommend or will i be back here.

Something is most definitely brewing in Portrush - beer is making a quiet and classy comeback! By forging strong links with domestic, individual, artisan brewers Kiwi's Brew Bar is able to source suds that you simply can't get elsewhere along with the bes
Iâve been going to Portrush for many years and usually headed down to the usual venues at the harbour, which are also great. I canât believe that I havenât visited this bar before as it is a great venue. Which door to get in can be a bit confusing but once in itâs a great cosy bar with great friendly service and a limited but delicious food menu (mostly burgers). Great Guinness and good variety of other beers and spirits. Looking forward to my next visit.

Last minute decision to try and wish we picked somewhere else. After being seated we were left alone for nearly 20 mins so had to find someone to take our order. Food arrived in another 20 mins which was average. Pretty pricey for all we got, fish and chips at £16. Lasagne, hard chips £14. Watery jug cordial £2.10 . Jawbuk gin and tonic £8.05 ...... all a bit too dear I'm afraid its a reminder to book the tides in time next time ...we won't be backHi Stephen,Thank you for your review and for taking the time to list the contents of your receipt. Having read your recent review on Morelli's Ice Cream, it seems that you are very price aware. We offer special deals at lunch time and an Early Bird offer in the evenings between 5pm and 6.30pm where you can have 3 courses for the price of the main course. If you decide to return, these might be good options for you.I see no point in name dropping other local restaurants, but for your information, I have checked, and our prices are very similar.Best wishes,Peter

A little beach shack right on the sand serving the best of local fish and home grown vegetables in a relaxed environment. Book in, and enjoy
I love the whole ethos of Harryâs - easy, casual and right on the beach so that you can l take a long walk before or after along lunch. However, itâs lost itâs edge - too many restaurants become complacent with early success. We had the fish and chips - batter was not very tasty and even worse, soft. Chunky chips were bland and the tartare sauce was just about ok. At nearly £15 a dish I came away feeling I wished Iâd gone to the local chippy. Vegetarian options were limited. Service was friendly and amiable. The restaurant looked tired and lacking in love with empty shelves across the whole of one wall. Overall dull and tired and a disappointing experience. Needs to get its vibe back.
