It's a major improvement from the race Course location. Now they are on the first floor of the Colombo City Center - Not in the food court but almost above the main entrance.With a massive screen playing sports and several other screens it does have a sports pub atmosphere but all the commentaries are muted for the sake of music.Although its a pub they still haven't got a liquor license therefore they do not have any liquor for sale. However all the staff including the Manager are extremely accommodating and they allow you to bring your own bottles without a charge as long as you eat. This is the only eatery in the entire City Center, serving Pork. But the food here is not that great.The other catch is although own bottles are allowed there is no liquor store in the building. The Food City in the basement does not sell liquor. As such remember to pickup your bottles on the way. Cargillls on Staples Street and Keels at Crescat seem to be the closest liquor stores but they close at 9 p.m. The Manager is so obliging and nice, if they are not too busy he might even send someone to buy your bottle for youThere's a smokers' balcony too at one end.

Decided to have drinks and dinner there since we were in the vicinity - big mistake. It took more than 3 hours for us to get our drinks and meal. Never will I go there again. There was one waiter serving about 10 tables. He was definitely overworked.

We enjoyed the best lamb shank we have ever had. Roomy our waiter provided excellent service, both friendly and professional. In fact the food and our conversation with Roomy at the end was one of our best memories on our holiday. The interior design in the restaurant, courtyard, upstairs bar and terrace is impressive. We left with a box of hand made chocolates from the chocolate shop at the front of the restaurant. A beautiful evening. Really very impressed!

Botanik has great scenic views from the outdoor patio, reasonable happy hour prices for wine and beer, and very helpful wait staff. Ambience is terrific. The food was not, though. Our duck dinner was tiny in size and salty, and the garbanzo salad with feta cheese belongs on no menu anywhere. Tasteless, sorry to say. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Thank you for your honest review of our rooftop restaurant and bar, while we are sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations.We are very sorry to hear this, since we have designed the menu in collaboration with Sri Lanka's first Michelin- Star Chef, which we receive primarily positive reviews about. The Chickpea dish is one that is very popular with vegetarians and is meant to be ordered as a side dish and not a main, however we do understand that these flavours and ingredients are not for everyone. Regarding the Duck dish, we will definitely take your feedback into consideration and will look into improving. We do hope you are able to come in another time and try other dishes that we feel would be more in line with your tastes. Recently I visited the Capital Bar and Grill of Shangrilla Colombo with my family to enjoy a decent evening where we experienced and enjoyed the upright Decency with stunning cocktails and snacks amidst live Spanish music. The staff was very professional and helpful. Special Thanks to Mr Chatura and Mr Nadun for guiding and assistance in selection of our choice of food and beverages. We had a wonderful time.

We had a couple of drinks at this restaurant!!! The service was impeccable from the entrance itself to the drinks which was served quickly.
