We arrived 20 minutes before closing and were told there were no appetizers, no shrimp, and only two portions of rice left.We ordered one of the two rice portions (firecracker pork) and a chicken-broccoli noodle dish.Both were good, though perhaps because it was the end of the day, the noodle dish came with green peppers rather than broccoli.Oh and it's not licensed. The green tea was fine though.

Our first visit to Joe Chows was Friday, Chinese New Year. Surprised there was no celebration or specials for that day but, had the bbq pork and it was delicious! Hubby had ribs and he was very happy with it. Pretty plain and basic for eat in but the food was plentiful, fresh and reasonably priced! We will certainly stop in again when we are in New Glasgow!

We ate at this restaurant while we attended a meeting in Pictou. The food were hot and tasty. A good selection of food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was cold but when asked the waitress to turn up the heat, it became comfortable. The prices are reasonable. They serve a buffet but we ordered from the menu, which has various items of Chinese and Thai Food. I would recommend this place to others. I would go back again.
