If you get over the low hygiene rating on the window(and we can!!!),food and service are great.We use it for take away,banquet nights and normal restaurant and well,the banquet night is our favourite..you get to try new dishes and enjoy your favourite one,and spend only a tenner..which in Henley is a pretty unique!!!

My delivery turned up wrong and unfortunately, it was the main course. I ordered a chicken naga WITH sauce (proven and accepted by them because I ordered online) and it arrived dry. Without sauce how can you eat the naan, rice, sides etc? To me, the sauce is integral to the whole thing.I complained and was told theyâd bring me another naga. They called back 2 mins later and said Iâd have to reorder for over £15 because of the area I live in. When I placed the order online there was no charge specified, being as Iâm in the RG9 postcode. So after changing their mind, which is unprofessional anyway they were now refusing a refund and didnât even apologise! Iâm left with a dinner thatâs dry and thatâs not what I paid for. Terrible service.

Been here a few times before. Never had a disappointing meal unlike at the Spice Merchant which just feels so much like youâre being ripped off. Asiana Spice delivered great quality starters and mains and a good price. Beers were standard but served nicely chilled. Service was friendly, respectful and efficient. Recommended.

I am not going into too much details here except to say never ever again. They call this high end restaurant. Itâs not the worse Iâve been to but at the prices they charge it is of great disappointment and rage how this place is allowed to carry on trading. I have been going to maliks in cookham for years and not once have they disappointed me. And they are of higher standard than yourselves at a much more reasonable price. Please donât reply just read and learn something from this. For me itâs au revoir spice merchant. Away with work, a colleague and I found ourselves torn between a reputable (but to me decidedly predictably average) national franchised eatery which I won't name but that resides directly opposite the Thai Orchid, or to try our luck on somewhwre independent... i won, and we both retrospectively agreed that this was a great choice.Our hosts were both attentive and friendly. The decor I note has been criticised by patrons, but it is original and authentic, and to me it very much added to the experience.We ordered a sharing 'Thai Orchid Basket' to start, and as per my palate, I ordered a spicy 'Pad Kra Prao'. Both were phenomenal. Spoken by a person who frequents Thai food outlets regularly and dabbles in cooking said at home too, this was fresh, tasty, and authentic-tasting.I stay in the area frequently with work and this is now my go-to for a meal while staying locally.A big thank you to our hosts and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Confit duck is cooked long and slow and is normally crispy on the outside. Confit duck curry sounded rather interesting so I thought Iâd give it a go. What I got was a duck leg cooked very pink with little meat and lots of slimy fat and skin in a sweet, not hot, sauce. In fairness, they offered to replace the dish or not charge for it, but I donât think it should have ever left the kitchen. Food quality is of the utmost importance to us and ensuring that guests are served food that meets their expectations is the least we aspire to.
