Fabulous Sugar Bay

My husband, son and I spent May midterm in a deluxe double room overlooking the pool. It was a lovely room with a gorgeous bathroom. Our beds were really comfortable, the towels and bathrobes were fluffy and changed frequently. The view from our room and location were excellent. The food in Reef, Umi, Sizzles and Colin’s bar was really great. The cocktails were certainly plentiful and nice. The beach is to die for, plenty of loungers and the water sports guys were so friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Dylan who patiently played connect four with my son. The KidsClub ladies were so kind too. My son never goes to KidsClub on holidays but these ladies made him so welcome and he had such fun with them that he couldn’t wait to go. Thanks guys. The Maitre D in Sizzles was another great staff member, so good at his job. All the waitresses in Reef were so warm and friendly too, special shout out to Tyra! Thanks for looking after us so well. In short we had no fault at all with Sugar Bay and can definitely recommend it. We walked up and down the coast a few times, did a boat trip with JayJay (another big thumbs up), swam with turtles, saw the horses swimming and did lots of relaxing. Thanks Sugar Bay for a wonderful holiday.

First time to Barbados and loved it. Hotel can be tired in places, but service and friendliness of staff (and all Bajans) unparalleled. We moved from Annex rooms after a couple of days to superior room and definetly worth it. We also hired. Cr, but wouldn’t bother at our next visit as once you work out the cost of taxis there are thousands of them. A Brilliant holiday!

Bougainvillea Hotel has been the best Hotel i’ve stayed in by far. The restaurant/lunch place offers outstanding meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have wonderful staff that are so welcoming and cheerful. The room i stayed in was huge with 2 floors! It has everything you need and i could honestly live in it. The activities to do are varied and exciting and always something to do . There were 3 great water sports staff(Wayne,Mario and Roggick). They are really down to earth and fun guys who were even willing to work after hours to come in the sea with us! They made the experience 10000x better and personally if i was manager i would be giving them a raise. A massive thanks to Wayne,Mario and Roggick for the great time we had. The reception staff are also so informative and helpful.

Wonderful Stay

Great Small Hotel. We stayed across the street in the adults only section. If you can afford a pool view room rather than standard, it is well worth it. We had beautiful room with balcony overlooking the pool. Even caught a glimpse of some monkeys playing early one morning which was fun. Jacqueline was frequently at the front desk and we chatted with her several nights. She wasn’t working one night and we missed seeing her. Beautiful huge porch over looking water off of the beautiful lobby and terrace area. Used water taxi several times to visit other hotels. Hard to describe how great it is, but we hope to go back again!

Another great stay at Crystal Cove

Reviewed By timmM6851JP

This was our second visit to Crystal Cove in the past 12 months, and we enjoyed it just as much second time around! The resort is in our opinion the most "fun" of the Elegant Hotels chain, with a beautiful beach, multiple pools and two good quality restaurants offering both buffet and A La Carte options. We loved dinners at Drifters, sat right on the ocean, and spending the days lounging with views of the beautiful Caribbean. Cocktails are always great, and the rooms while a little old-style well maintained, but you're probably not going to spend much time there! We also really enjoyed the dine around programme, and had a dinner at Treasure Beach and Tamarind during our stay and Waves on our previous visit, which is a nice scene change especially if you have a longer visit. But the part that makes Crystal Cove so special is the staff - everyone we have interacted with has always been so wonderfully kind and genuine. Special mentions on our most recent visit to Kathy in reflections who definitely kept us on our toes, Jensel in the bar who is so friendly and easy to talk to, and Antonette on reception who makes sure everything you need happens! But in general a huge thanks to all the staff. We can't wait to come back next year for our third visit!

This was our first hotel stay on Barbados, we normally stay in a villa in the south of the island, but thought we'd experience a hotel for a few days for a special birthday. We didn't regret it. The hotel was spotless, great service, good food. Some might not like not being on the coast, but we had a hire car and only a two minute drive from the ocean. A good relaxing few days, and we'd certainly go back.

The service at reception and the concierge was exceptional. Staff at the hotel were generally quite pleasant. The location is exceptional. Quite near to restaurants, Bridgetown, transportation and other beaches. However, there were parts of the hotel room which appeared to require some more attention. In these times of Covid-19 and other contagious diseases which are spread by touching surfaces, areas such as knobs, doors, light switches, drapes and the like should be sanitized to a point where they actually look clean. I noted several areas that appeared to have been neglected and this was quite concerning considering the extent to which it was visible. This hotel is good value for money if you are willing to turn a blind eye to such things.

Butterfly Beach Hotel

We are located on the South Coast of Barbados in an ocean front setting with access to two white-sand beaches, and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Refurbished in June 2009, we are an excellent hotel for those looking for a self-catering but full-service property near to all the amenities the island has to offer...

It’s a guest house.

Reviewed By lisakX543UU

The restaurant doesn’t accept cash. I booked online but when I got there, there hidden fees. There is no room service. I think it’s more of a guest house. However, the people were friendly and accommodating. The beach is right there but the water was too rough to swim. Still a great view though.
