This was definitely one of my best dining experiences. Excellent service, perfect environment for a dinner (dimmed lights, soft music), everything perfectly clean and set. And then the food came which was the best part of the evening. From the starter to the dessert I wouldn't change absolutely anything and I hope I will have a chance to visit this place again.

From the outside this restaurant looks special and the interior doesn't disappoint either. The staff are friendly and the service is efficient. Food was excellent and imaginative; the wines are also superb. The Sommelier will happily advise and their wines are available by the glass, so that you can pair a different wine to each course if you wish.This place has all the boxes ticked; great ambience, good service, great food and wine, all adding up to a wonder dining experience. Definitely on the list for a return visit!

We went here the first time and were so pleased that we went back the next week. Beautiful little restaurant with an idyllic garden. Walls decorated with murals from the great grandfather artist. Food is delicious, especially the steaks and fish of the day. Homemade sorbets are exceptional as is the chocolate muffin. Service is excellent--they speak German, Swiss German and English. Food is fresh and regional; wines are locally sourced.

We have stopped here a few times for a coffee and cake during a bikeride up through France, back through Germany, from Basel (or the other way around). Nice terrace when the weather is good. The coffee and cakes are great. There are some more substantial meals to have, but we have never tried these. If the number of people is anything to go by, the food must be quite nice. If you a have kids they can safely run around the square.

Very nice family runned Restaurant/Hotel, it's a very nice typical/local building. It's in the center of the village near the church. They have a nice garden & terrasse, you can have apperitive on the terrasse. They have comprehensive menu's for everyone something, and if not they are very helpful to give what you fancy. Excellent food and since we had assorted wines, it was gordious ! Very professional friendly and attentionate staff ! Worth going !!!

We were first put off by the name but once we had tasted the food we went back twice! The quality of the meat is amazing and I would highly recommend the lamb kebabs. The waitresses are very friendly and the service is excellent.

Living in Basel, we are always on the lookout for good restaurants nearby. Saw this on TA, and I popped down for lunch earlier this week. they had a Menu du jour which comprised a quiche to start and some chicken on a bed of risotto. Both were excellent, so I decided to come back for dinner a few days later with the wife. I had a set menu and the wife ordered a starter and a main off the menu. The starters were excellent, including a guinea fowl terrine of sorts. For mains, the scallop croque monsieur (really a salmon and scallop sandwich made like a croque monsieur) was great. I had a duck breast on a bed of risotto. I enjoyed the risotto but the duck breast was a tad too overcooked for my liking. Service was good throughout, and they have an English menu for non-French speakers. The set lunch is very good value at 14EUR. The dinner menu and the wine menu are reasonably priced - we had a decent Bordeaux for 30EUR.

Wonderful place, in winter with the cosy interior, or in summer on the outside terrace. Excellent food and service we have been here many times. Good value lunch with set menus at very reasonable rates. Excellent a la carte dining is also available with a good selection of wines.Never had a bad meal here and the staff are very welcoming. We live in the area and should probably explore more but we just keep coming back to the Petit Kembs - Reserve in advance if possible they tend to get busy over the weekend.Bon Appetit!

Wir konnten bei strahlendem Sonnenschein schön draussen im Schatten sitzen. Sehr freundliches Personal! Lobenswert ist, dass man durchgehend warm essen kann. Sonntags ab 15 Uhr gibt es zusätzlich frische Flammkuchen. -Sowohl der mit Schafskäse als auch der mit Münsterkäse waren absolut fantastisch! Der Boden genau richtig und schön reichhaltig belegt. Gerne wieder!

We have been there a couple of times after an early morning movie on Sundays. The crepes are decent and the rest of the food is actually good. The children menu is also quite nice for the price. Prices are reasonable for the portions and the quality. Service can be a bit slow sometime but the staff is very responsive when you ask. And for young kids there's a small bouncy castle indoor, which is quite fun for kids considering you most likely go there before or after 2 hours at the movies.Thanks
