Looking for a place to eat on the way from shopping to our hotel and bump in to this thanks to tripadvisor! What a pleasant surprise. The waiter was super friendly (+spoke perfect english) and we got good food fast. Recommend the bbq burger and braun bred. After eating our kids (5+7) had fun at the football table.

Während der Karl-Mai Festspiele suchten wir das Lokal, direkt am Kalkberg gelegen auf. Obwohl ein starken Andrang von Festbesuchern herrschte, hatte das Personal die Sache voll im Griff. Zwar gab die Sonderspeisekarte nicht viel her, aber das bestellte Schnitzel entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Das gezapfte Bier holte noch einges raus.

I read the tripadvisor opnions on this one, I really think it was terrible. They did not have all the food on the menu. The pasta I got was HUGE!!! to much if you ask me. I started of with a "antipasti" plate, was expecting some nice ham, sausages etc. But all we got was some mushrooms, peppers and something I cant remember.

Bring a big appetite because you are in for a real feast here. I had to request the Wiener schnitzel and It was wonderful and very moderately priced. Loved the decor as well.

Eigentlich kann man im Restaurant "Kreta" nichts falsch machen. Aufgrund des sehr schönen Wetters genossen wir das Essen auf der Terrasse des Restaurants. Meine Frau hatte nicht so einen großen Hunger und entschied sich (eher untypisch) für mit Käse überbackene Spaghetti und ich nahm überbackene Gyros. Wie immer waren beide Essen sehr gut. Die Würze stimmt und die Mengen sind eher zu groß.
Freundliches Personal, das die anfänglichen Fehler (siehe eine meiner vorherigen Bewertungen) überwunden hat. Es klappt alles gut und wir können das Kreta unbedingt weiter empfehlen.
Leider ziehen wir in wenigen Tagen aus der Gegend weg und werden daher wohl leider nicht mehr so oft ins Kreta fahren. Wir hoffen, dass wir einen vergleichbaren "Griechen" finden, was sicherlich schwer werden wird.
Wir wünschen dem Team des Kreta-Restaurants auf jeden Fall alles Gute, wir haben uns immer sehr wohl dort gefühlt.

Durch Trip Advisor fanden wir die OLIVE.
Wir hatten keine Lust auf die alteingesessenen, altbackenen Restaurants und fanden die OLIVE!
Sicherlich mag für Sterne-Niveau es dem ein oder anderen nicht ausreichen, ABER das was hier geboten wird sind sehr leckere Speisen zu absolut gerechten Preisen. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal und erinnerte irgendwie an Spanienurlaub!
Preise:
Oliven auf's Haus.
3 Personen incl. Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Nachspeise, viel Wein. Wasser & Café nur € 125 !!!!!
Das bekommt man in vielen Restaurants nicht zu dem günstigen Preis.
Das Gute:
ALLES hat geschmeckt ! *****
Wir wurden von Isabell bedient. Chapeau... so freundlich, aufmerksam und tolle Weinempfehlung!
Inhaber Boris rundet das ganze ab.
Wir haben eine tolle Rum-Spezialität aus Cuba mit ihm "for free" getrunken.
Ein tolles Zeug!!!!

Unbedingt folgendes dort bestellen:
• Knobicreme
• Oliven (vom Chef selbst mariniert; der absolute Hammer!!!)
• Antipasti-Teller
• Rumspezialität (siehe Fotos)
Tipp: Ein Restaurant, wo man auch gut parken kann.
Es war ein toller Abend!!!

I had a pizza which was soggy and overpowered by cheese, my colleague had a pasta dish which he was happy with. Som other tables had the salads and they look ok
The service is fine, nothing special.
Would have given it 3 stars if not for the fact that it was quite dirty there. 1 advice. Do not look up as its really not appetizing
Prices are really cheap. We paid 22 EUR for 1 pizza, 1 pasta - 2 beers but would have preferred to pay a bit more and eat at a clean place

Popular restaurant in the middle of town. vegetarian menu almost non existent really but not unusual in Northern Europe Not much English spoken but we managed to muddle through. On the whole a nice place with plenty of free ouzo

There are lots of ice-cafés in town - my daughter prefers this one ! Creamy, different styles and handmade ice-cream ! Her - and my favourite : red-grape ! ...but Mango also ...and chocolate-cookies...and....oh! just go there and try yourself !

Made "famous" in Rabbi Stephen Fuchs' blog essay, "O The Chimney" the Spindel was a delightful place to soak up the region's atmosphere. The service was wonderful and the food was fresh and tasty. Vegetarian options were available. Unpretentious but delicious. Great pkace for lunch.
