Easy to find, very busy. Service was ok, quite slow to bring the bill. Happy and friendly enough. Food is good. Look at the menu before going as there are only a few options.

This place gets a large number of foreign tourists but cannot be recommended very highly. We first had some soup, which was very good, even though one soup was not hot enough. My wife ordered a glass of red house wine, which was undrinkable. We sent it back but were charged for it in full anyway. Then we had two kinds of schnitzel. They were as thin as cardboard and extremely dry. Worst we ever had anywhere.The apple strudle dessert was quite good. All in all a very mixed experience. Would not go back.

Big rooms, big tables, servers dressed in traditional cloth. Special good beer that you can only have in taverns, meaning you cannot find them in retail shops are they are 'freshly made'.Food is typical of the area with a wide choice of meat and some fish. It was fine for one visit.

Our experience was different from some of the others here. We had wonderful service and tasty food. Everyone was pleasant and we went back the next day for breakfast and had another good experience. We even bought some of the homemade jam!

Our lunch reservation at Gasthof Maria Plain netted one of the better tables...uppermost on the view edge of the terrace and chestnut garden. Some beers, Austrian soft drinks and dry Austrian white wine were great for the warm weather and while trying to decide amongst the menu choices. While we settled on pork medallions in a chanterelle mushroom sauce with mixed vegetables and potato patties, our friends ordered the venison entree, lamb goulash, vegetarian dish and an Austrian soup. Our pork dishes were very tasty and also sizeable. Although we were already quite full, we had ordered the dessert when we placed our initial order since our choice took 20 minutes to cook. The resulting "marillenknodel", or Austrian Apricot Dumpling, was served warm and with a cup of ice cream and whipped cream...not a particularly low-calorie choice but absolutely delicious! We somehow found enough room to finish every bite. Our lunch outing with a fantastic view of Salzburg was a very good experience. To shed a few of the calories, we walked up the stairs to take in the beautiful church and surrounds.

The Fuxn, Salzburger Volkswirtschaft is a modern Restaurant in the city Salzburg, the place is large and very nice. it's good for friends and family, they provide nice playing place and lovely animals for the kids. The staff are nice, young, friendly and helpful but Food are less good than expected, actually i just order the basic menu, soup is salty, grll shicken is tasteless

We stayed in the hotel attached and were tired after travel so decided to eat here but we weren't disappointed. The food was very good and the craft beer list was lengthy. They had grapefruit beer which was delicious. Reasonably priced with good desserts. Dear valued guest,We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the food in our restaurant very much. Die Weisse is a quintessential biergarten located in a quiet section of Salzburg. We were told that it is primarily frequented by locals; but, there were many tourists there on the night that we visited. They have both indoor and outdoor seating in a casual setting. We selected some of the local specialties and were very pleased with our selections. This restaurant is worth seeking out.

From the reviews, we expected a pretty special dinner, but we were a bit disappointed. The decor is nice and the staff were helpful and friendly. The wiener schnitzel was not one of the best I've had in Austria. Portions are large. The walk there, along the river was beautiful. It is a fun place to eat, and maybe we caught them on a bad night, but we did not find it as wonderful as others.

I stumbled across this restaurant while searching Tripadvisor for restaurant suggestions during my stay in Salzburg. This restaurant was located away from the main city, however it turned out to be a hidden gem. Our waiter Daniel was very friendly and welcoming, and also strangely resembled Chris Hemsworth. The food was absolutely fantastic (highly recommend the pork chops). In fact, the food was so good, we went back the day after. When I return to Salzburg in the future, I will be sure to stop by again. Writing this review has made me hungry again. 10/10
