Superb Hotel at an awesome location!

Reviewed By Raphael C

Stayed in this hotel last January 2020. The most commendable thing for me in this hotel is the location: around 5 minutes walking distance to Sensoji Temple, numerous places to eat nearby, and the best of all, barely a stone's throw away from Don Quijote Asakusa! The Ginza line is roughly 10-minute walk to the hotel, and there is a closer train station though not as used as the Tokyo Metro. The rooms are relatively ok as far as rooms in Tokyo go, and staff is very courteous, polite and helpful. We had the hotel breakfast, and these are good too: I especially love the morning curry, which became my addiction for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast is a mix of Japanese and continental and they change it enough so that it's still nice even if you eat there for a few consecutive days. All in all great place to stay, awesome staff, good food and superb location! Will definitely book again

Unbelievable location, super clean and friendly staff

Reviewed By LukeUK_12

First off, the location is incredible - literally steps from Senso-ji. This makes it a great place to stay especially if you are a first time visitor to Tokyo and want to see the main attractions - the skytree is also within walking distance. It was my third time in the city, so I knew my way around already, but I did enjoy walking away from the tourist places and finding new sides to Asakusa as a district. The staff members were fantastic. My room was a little dated, but super clean and had everything I needed. Endless eating/drinking options on the same street, and there's even a 7-11 inside the hotel. It's also within walking distance to Ueno Station too. If you enjoy walking and want a break away from the tourist vibe of Asakua, then I recommend walking along the banks of the Sumida river - steps from hotel - from Asakusa, heading south and enjoying the little known solitude that Tokyo can provide.

Quiet hotel in vibrant neighborhood

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in January 2020. Booked for 2 economy twin rooms. Check in was fast and easy. You can check in by yourself or can have hotel staff assists you. Room is small, Tokyo standard. The hotel has air purifier/humidity controller but the filter needed to be clean more regularly since lot of dust was stuck in there. Bed is comfortable and clean. There is no electricity outlet near the bed, got to charge your things on TV desk. Please make sure you have proper type of adapter for the outlets. Breakfast is included in the room rate or you may choose not to. Buffet breakfast is 1,430 yen. Selections were modest but adequate. Location is great, right opposite the Asakusa View Hotel that Narita Limousine Bus make a stop there. Big supermarkets (Life, Seiyu) arein a few minutes walk. Donqi and Asakusa Rox are around the corner and Senso-Ji Temple is about 5-6 minutes walk. Restaurants are plenty. Famous Ichiran Ramen is just in the back alley of the hotel. Please beware that most of Izakaya-style restaurants are allowed customers to smoke inside the restaurant.

A Great Little Hostel in the Heat of Asakusa

Reviewed By T4046TKjohnj

This was a very good choice for a short stay in Tokyo. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. The staff speaks excellent English and all of them have travelled widely so they know how to make travelers feel comfortable. The common room and kitchen are fully equipped and there is free coffee and tea all day. You could easily prepare meals here but the nearby department store sells food so cheaply that it almost does not make sense to cook unless you are a larger group. The hostel is very quiet and there is not much of a social vibe. Quiet hours start at 21:00 and it definitely is quiet. Rules around removing your shoes and absolutely no visitors are strictly enforced. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm room (luckily I had it all to myself). There is an en-suite toilet, sink area and shower. There are small lockers for personal items and larger luggage can be stored at the desk. The neighborhood is really good. Close to the Senso-ji temple and with multiple small restaurants and department stores nearby. The Asahi Beer office is around the corner and a really nice little park runs along both sides of the Sumita River. Overall a great stay.
