On the Bentota peninsula, the Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa Sri Lanka enjoys a superb location with the Bentota River on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other, and is accessed by a short boat ride across the lagoon. The rooms and suites (38-139 sqm. of total living space) feature a balcony or terrace looking out across the peaceful river or over the blue ocean. Truly a family destination in concept, the resort also offers a choice of family-friend accommodation options including Family Residences with bunk beds in a separate children’s area. The resort offers an abundance of natural attractions along with a huge, palm-fringed swimming pool with Jacuzzi, a wealth of water sports including canoeing, sailing, wakeboarding, knee-boarding, and jet skiing, two kids clubs, and a wonderful spa inspired by Thai and Ayurvedic wellbeing heritage. Riverside dining is one of the highlights of the resort which is also home to an authentic Thai restaurant and two bars. Wi-Fi is complimentary.

Reviewed By 474krist_natElegant hotel resort is situated in peaceful place tropical garden nearby delightful Bentota Beach in Sri Lanka. On one side of the hotel is warm sea and on the other side is river named Bentota. In the hotel is swimming pool with excellent water bar where they prepare for you delicious drinks and meals. Furthermore, in hotel area is a gym and place where they make excellent massages. There is also magnific restaurant where you can choose from many types of meals typical for Sri Lanka and from European cuisine. In addition, the hotel is well situated near the beach. While there is a slow descent into the sea, the same cannot be say about waves which were sometimes very big, which may not be suitable for children. In the hotel are friendly staff who prepare for you for example elephant from towels and many other wonderful things for a tip. I really like the opportunity to have a wedding at the hotel which I didn't use because I'm already married. :-) For these reasons, I would recommend going to this hotel young couples without children who maybe think about wedding.

Unpleasant experience
Reviewed By WatbanMI only tried the water sport hub at the resort, was staying in a different hotel. The overall experience was unsatisfactory, the staff of the water sport center were unprofessional and utterly rude with overpriced activities. I paid 35$ for a 15 minute ride on the jet ski, all I got is less than 10 minutes of it, the staff claimed I stretched more than 15 minutes. I tried to contact management in order to sort such behavior, no response came. For water sporting activities, I recommend to go some where else.

Best place to relax and enjoy
Reviewed By ujithh2017We had a very relaxing & enjoyable time at High Rich resort. The river view is stunning where all the water sports are happening. The rooms are very clean and nice & very friendly staff. The chef Ashoka served us delicious dinner & breakfast. The spa tub was a special feature of the hotel. Highly recommended for great hospitality.

Amazing stay fantastic service
Reviewed By eshanw2020Had an amazing stay with me and my family. Lovely place with great service and a great ambience. You can chill and enjoy your food and drinks by the river. The owners were very friendly specially Mr Dushan he gave us a great show around it felt like home. I highly recommend the place if you like to spend some quiet quality time with the family!

Super vacation in Sri Lanka
Reviewed By gillianp90At last I could revisit this lovely hotel which was closed last year due to Covid. I have been coming here for two weeks every year since 2004. As usual I took the short 6 day Wellness Ayurveda treatments which I love as it gives me enough time to explore nearby places with my favourite beach boy/ tour guide Lucky! The hotel‘s design, garden, pool etc are super. All the rooms have lovely views facing the pool with the ocean partly hidden behind the palm trees. My favourite rooms have bath tubs which I want, these rooms are a little bit „tired“ but I really don‘t care! They are big and clean. The food and all the staff who speak good English and German are wonderful and the covid hygene rules in place are exemplary - much better than in my home country Switzerland. Can‘t wait to go back and feel like a real Lanka princess! I can thoroughly recommend this hotel - I love it.
