Where to eat International food in Fuso-cho: The Best Restaurants and Bars
4 based on 9 reviews
I was staying in Inuyama to see the ukai fishing, and needed someplace to eat after the boat trip. I'd seen Mantovana during a wander around town in the afternoon, and the hotel I was staying at said it would be a good choice for dinner.I was warned the staff didn't speak English, so was a bit concerned (given my Japanese is very limited!), but on arrival I was warmly greeted, and between us all we managed to make out the menu in a mix of English and Japanese. The chef and server were both really lovely, and as the night went on I had a bit too much wine and we conversed in a mix of broken English and Japanese. As for the food, it was delicious. I had a pasta bolognese type dish which I'd really recommend. Like all Japanese restaurants, it's small, but if you're in Inuyama, and are a solo traveller, I'd really recommend the restaurant. The menu isn't in English, there aren't any displays of the food, but go in and take a punt! You won't regret it!
