Nice hotel with a very accomodating service
Reviewed By MichaelG459We came to Landau to visit the Palais des Étoiles for their New Year’s Dinner Show. The hotel has a very friendly service. The rooms are nice and clean, but not as big as they appear on their website. We had a nice room in the second floor with view on the adjacent lake. The bed is very comfortable and the bath-room offers sufficient space. The breakfast buffet that was offered the next day left no desires open. The choice of food, hot or cold, the different sorts of breads and the whole set-up were inviting and delicious. As the hotel had a lot of guests they could have used a second coffee machine. The pool area is nice, but you need to get towels and a bathing gown as well as a coin for the entrance to the pool area at the reception. As we were not told that there are no towels available in the pool area I had to walk up twice to get them. Entering the pool area is not very nice as it appears like a public swimming pool with changing cubicles and lockers for your stuff for which you will need a coin (1 or 2 Euro piece) to be able to use them. You also have a nice wellness area, but it certainly could use some changes as it is kept very functional with no flair of wellness at all. Good about the area is that they offer the possibility of a small outside area which is perfect after session in the sauna. All-in-all we can only recommend this hotel

OK but a few downsides
Reviewed By G MHotel room was fine. Reception friendly. Clean. Offers secure parking - but cannot be booked in advance. It was full, so we had to park over the road in the station car park and empty everything out of the car for the night. Breakfast was limited and average - certainly not worth the price.

The region is renowned for festivities and outdoor activities in the nearby Pfalzer forest and the German Wine Road that stretches eighty kilometers to the French border through vineyards, villages and hills laden with castles. The heritage-listed building was built in 1911 as a residence and wine production and distribution business and today houses seven guestrooms plus the private residence of the owner and operators of Villa Delange; Karin and John Greenslade. Karin is a local from the neighboring village of Walsheim whilst John is an Australian. In August 2013, an additional eight guestrooms in the newly converted Haus zu Schwanen, a nearby building of similar character and generation to Villa Delange were opened.

Reviewed By Iona MWe stayed four days here. Got upgraded to a suite. Lovely breakfast, elegant rooms with period furniture, very good shower, very nice outdoor seating area. Excellent location for exploring the Palatinate region, place to keep bicycles. Definitely would stay here again. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning and it can get very hot in this area.

Reviewed By Horst SThey are very closely located to the Autobahn and the commercial centre of Landau. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff was friendly, breakfast ample although we had to wait 20 minutes for a place to sit (social distancing). Breakfast rooms are not in the hotel, but in the building alongside.

Reviewed By kr0elleHeiligenthaler Hof is located in a picturesque old baroque house. The rooms are newly refurbished, clean and appealing, and quite large. Although they face the inner courtyard (which is occupied by a restaurant), the windows stop the noise quite well. The whole thing has quite a charming atmosphere which is spoilt by the chaotic work of the owner who firstly messed up our room selection, key disposal and the bills.

Friendly place to stay
Reviewed By KenDB1982Very friendly hosts and a cosy place to stay. The room was spacious, clean and with a nice balcony. Landau city is a 5 minutes drive and there you find everything. Breakfast was good and a wide choice of cereals, bread and fruit. Would go there again.
