Room to improve
Reviewed By Cduncan261We recently stayed here for 3 nights while in Kanha. Our overall stay was good but the rooms were very tired and in need of renovation especially the bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable either Little improvements for the safaris would be providing insulated bottles so your water is kept cool all morning would be great All the food we had was very good I could not fault that with a good choice served and the staff were very attentive always looking to assist. Especially the guys in the restaurant. The service was very good! The cottages were all being upgraded when we were there they looked really good I think that may be the better choice rather than the rooms. The hotel grounds looked very nice with the pool and areas to relax in the gardens.

The only place to stay in Khajuraho
Reviewed By 380yashnI have had the most wonderful stay at the this little family run homestay in Khajuraho. Mr Ajay and his family went above and beyond to make sure I had a very comfortable stay. Infact, I fell sick during the trip during which I was taken care of as if a family member would. This is the only place I would stay in Khajuraho. (Oh and the rooms are super clean and affordable, and the food is heart filling)

Bablu's Homestay is situated in the near of Duladeo Temple and surrounded by farmland. A perfect place to enjoy the beautiful countryside and indian village life.
Khajuraho avoid bablu homestay
Reviewed By pierrorobiOnly a few hours after our arrival, the manager took me away on his motor bike to buy vegetebals, and my girlfriend was in the owner's (anjul singh) scooter. After this the manager told me we were going to put some gas and then I saw my girlfriend and the owner were not coming. He told her that they could wait for us in the homestay. After putting gas the manager took me to have a juice even though I said I didn't want one. At the same time my girlfriend was alone with the owner at the homestay was trying "to share his energy" with her and "teach" her about chakras by touching her in an unappropriate way and making her feel very uncomfortable. He told her she shouldn't tell anyone but of course she told me and we quickly left the place. Please share to your friends and in your Facebook page about travel in India so this never happens again and no girl has to feel like my girlfriend did.

Found this property on the way to Khajuraho and settled there. It is a old property and managed by single guy with no room service/restaurant. Parking space is a constraint due to construction activities. Rooms and washrooms are clean and value for money.

Bagh Villas is a luxury tented camp located on the edge of Kanha National Park. It has 12 well-appointed air conditioned tents providing the feel of camping in the jungle without compromising on luxury. All tents are air conditioned and with hot and cold running water. Inspired by the Maharajas during their hunting expeditions, the luxury tents at Bagh Villas use the traditional Shikar design. Pitched on an elevated wooden platform, the tents are located along the lake and others amidst the foliage of trees. Our spacious tents have been created with individual verandahs at the front designed to while away hours in privacy observing the teeming bird and animal life all around. The people who live around Bagh Villas are mostly tribal from Baiga or Gond community. They live in perfect harmony with the nature and are generally nature lovers. Most of them live in close knit communities. We employ local people from a 5 kilometre radius of the camp in order to help the local economy.
Life in the forest
Reviewed By YohanvedI never expected life in the forest to be so interesting. I am personally extremely scared of bags and creepy crawlies in general. I honestly didn't think I would have survived more than one night in this forest but the great hospitality and helpfulness of the staff over there was very reassuring. The safari guide, Shrikant was extremely knowledgable and passionate towards nature and made me have a ton of fun cycling and exploring. The food was delicious and the pool was extremely clean and natural. Very highly recommended.

Reviewed By 657tanvimThis place is like home. Beautiful landscaping. Super helpful and polite staff. Mr. Ram is the I house naturalist but will carter to any help you require. Food and service is excellent. We have stayed here 2 times and would definitely go back when I get another chance.

Reviewed By LumaKSYou might not expect it, but the restaurant in this hotel is really fantastic! It is really good value for money and always delicious. I have always found it to be quite hygienic too, although I always take the bottled water. Two people can leave there with full stomachs for under 250 rs. Highly recommend you give this a go if you live in or are passing through Gwalior!
