It was amazing drive through the Valley with it's palmeries and people still living along the river because most families are firmers. We stoped by some very good photo spots. Local recently used irrigated system.

Monte Gurugu

The best place to stay in the mountains is Hotel Leonor. What a unique experience in the mountains of Gourougou. This hotel is atypical and created by a local artist. Every detail is colorful. The entrance feels like a museum full of memories. The staff is basic in French (almost no English) but always with a smile. There is a free underground parking for your car. We got an amazing room with view on the mountains. The room is spacious and the bathroom colorful and clean. I will definitely come back here. There are some nice hikes around the hotel. Ask for the cactus trail to the top of the mountain for sunset.

We did a lot in the 4 days we were there. The waterfalls, the mountains, the market, visiting the Berber village and of course sitting on the teras!!, And everything more than nice. We went with a local guide Mohamed who showed us the most wonderful places. This was absolutely a very good idee. We loved the area and we had the nicest weather, although it seems to be good weather every day over there. For us, coming from a rainy country very importend! This was one of the best short trips we made ever. Highly recommended
