Lovely family in Stepanakert

They are amazing and they will make the impossible to make you feel like home! And for sure, Babuska is my favourite!go to Nagorno and visit Nelly and her family!

Carin Hostel located in the heart of the capital of Artsakh Republic, in Stepanakert. The arrangement of the hostel is very convenient both for tourists and for those who arrive on business trips. We are gladto see everyone here.

Decent location & Clean
Reviewed By 795glI was under the impression upon arrival you must visit the Minister of Foreign Affairs upon arrival. As I was walking there I came across this place. I inquired about available room and was shown the 4 bed dorm. Upon returning they placed me in a 6 bed dorm. I loved the bed design, a little short for 6' people but amazing storage underbed. It held all my gear. A first in 4 years of traveling. The bathrooms were clean with a combination toilet/shower. They could definitely use a shelf near the sink for the use of a shaving kit. There were Wi-Fi's overall strong and no problems. Only negative there are a couple of weak and cracked places in the floor.

A Retro style Hostel is located in the historical center of Stepanakert, has a wonderful staff and FREE BREAKFAST. It is a cheap, comfortable and friendly place . The best place for travellers in Nagorno Karabagh Republic! Retro Hostel has a kitchen with a common area, where our guests will find everything necessary for cooking and eating.
Not anymore an hostel
Reviewed By Anne CI thinked booking an hostel with good ambiance, tours and in wich I can meet interesting people. It was a mistake , the hostel doesn't exist anymore. It 's just dirty rooms with three beds , like others in stepanakert. Despite of that their account on airbnb and on facebook is this active ( they precise open ). Another man have been deceived by these accounts .

AVOID this place at all cost!! Owner is cheat/liar and doesn't respect booking confirmation!
Reviewed By Ian HMe and my girlfriend booked 2 nights at this property through booking.com at a price of 4800AMD for a Large Double Room (2400AMD per night). We originally arrived at the property where the owner met us and informed us the place was full (??) and that we should follow him to his home. We spent our first night in a double bed in his home, and the following morning, with no warning, we were told to hurry and pack our bags and move back to the hotel again! Once back at the hotel we were shown to a room, and then the owner demanded payment. When we produced the money owed as per our booking agreement, the owner demanded more money from us!!! His reason for this was "because we stay in his home for one night" and that we stay in a nicer room in the property for the second night (??). We found this very strange as we made a booking, and expected the agreement to be honoured, NOT to have a new price to pay. My girlfriend and I refused to pay any extra as we did NOT request anything other than what we booked. After a lengthy argument, the owner stated there was a problem with the booking website and we should pay the "real" price for the room (??) After threatening him with the police he gave us two sofa beds to sleep for our second night, which we accepted to bring this farcical situation to an end! I implore anyone booking this property to do so at your own risk! The owner, Ashots, is not to be trusted at all, he is a rude, cheating, liar and will stop at no cost to get as much money from you as possible! This place is so unprofessional it's beyond belief, especially as it's impossible to communicate in English too! Please search around and pay just a little extra for better, more professional accommodation, the people of Karabakh are lovely (with the exception to Ashots!)
