Chaohu (Chinese: 巢湖; pinyin: Cháohú) was formerly a prefecture-level city and is now a county-level city in central Anhui province, People's Republic of China. Embracing the Lake Chao, from which the city was named, Chaohu borders the provincial capital of Hefei to the northwest, Lu'an to the west, Anqing to the southwest, Tongling to the south, Wuhu to the southeast, and Ma'anshan and the province of Jiangsu to the east.

巣湖に知り合いの中国人がいたので、この近辺の見所だという事で案内してもらいました。
車を利用したので、市内からのアクセス方法は残念ながら説明できません・・・。
紫薇洞に行った際に他の方の写真のようにライトアップされていなかったので、残念ながら暗くて洞窟の写真を撮ることができませんでしたが、暗くても狭い洞窟内を進んでいくと、まだまだ洞窟としては整備が不十分ではありましたが、なかなかスリルのある体験が出来ます。
巣湖自体あまり観光客が訪れる場所ではないので、なかなか行ける機会がある場所とは思えませんが、観光地ではない場所なりのローカル感は十分に楽しめるのではないかと思います。

少しですが湖畔を散策しました。レンタルサイクル（2人乗り）があり借りました。当日は波が高かったので無かったですが、ボートも借りられるようです。

You can take a taxi for less than 100 Yuan from Chaohu and the boat cost is 60 yuan/person. The island is really beautiful and you can eat there. There is a traditionnal tower you can enter until top. Some temples are amazing too. We tought we are the only European guys to go there but it was a very good experience !
