Well located, the shared room bed its like a private bedroom.. not like others hostels.. here you have private space for your things inside your area... the other bed is facing to the other side.. very well organized. Everything new, clean.. smoking terrace Only advise: read well the rules of shedule for shower. You have to take the shower in the morning maximum till 9am.. I was surprised that was close till 16h buy the owner opened for me the shower excepcionally. Thanks! If the owner read this, just a recomendation to give a 100% satisfactory stay to customers: pillows are new but so small..

ホテル内で楽しめるサービスが魅力

Reviewed By Shouyou

Good hotel but not a great location

Reviewed By あかね 高

My friends and I stayed in this hotel on August 16th to 17th. Unfortunately, the weather was not good. It was raining, but we were pleased to chose this hotel. It is located in Tochigi prefecture, 5 minutes drive from JR Kanuma station. We went there by car from Tokyo, but we actually got lost on our way to the hotel even though we searched on the car navigation, so it was a little hard to find the hotel because they don't put signboards. Check in is from 10 a.m., so we walked to the front office from the car park. It was a quite long walk, and we needed to go up stairs with our bags, so I felt it was hard for elderly people. We booked 2 western style double rooms which were clean, with two beds, a television, a small fridge and a table and chairs. Each room had a shower and a toilet, and they prepared yukata, bath towels, and toothbrushes. I expected to see the great view from our room windows, but what we could see was the concrete of the downstairs' roof. There are some facilities such as swimming pools, table tennis, tennis courts, a gymnasium, a sports ground and a park. If you stay there in the summer season, you can swim in the pool. We went to the pool as soon as we arrived, but it was too cold to swim, so we were there for 4 hours or so in total. I wish that it was a good weather. They have got water slides, and also a shallow pool for kids. You can borrow swimming rings and big swimming floats to play. If you become hungry, you can buy hot snacks like french fries, sausages, and also udon and yakisoba. Breakfast was a buffet style, and there were Japanese style items such as grilled salmons, stewed dishes, rice, and miso soup as well as some western style fare including bacons, eggs, toasts and jam. It was good that we could chose what we wanted to have. Dinner was a course style, so staff brought dinner to our table such as yuba (tofu skin), boar meat, roast beef, and grilled fish, but we didn't expect that there are more food and also rice coming after we had these, so the timing was not appropriate. The taste of food and serving size were good though. They have the public bath (hot spring bath), and there are some kind of hot springs, such as Hinokiburo (cypress bath) and Rotenburo (an outdoor hot spring), and also there is a sauna. I could enjoy a nice soak and refresh myself before bed and also in the morning. It is available from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., but if you want to relax serenely, I recommend you to go there in the early morning. There are a host of golf courses around the hotel, so I think it is a good place to stay if you like playing golf. Moreover, If you drive from the hotel or catch a train from JR Kanuma station to go to Utsunomiya city where is located next to Kanuma city, you can visit Utsunomiya zoo and also enjoy tasty Gyoza and Utsunomiya yakisoba. It takes you about 30 minutes to get there. Our summer vacation in Tochigi was made enjoyable by our stay at this hotel. Nothing is worse than going on a trip on the bad weather days, but you can still enjoy it. It is a great place to go with your family and also with your friends.
