How could they make it different?
Reviewed By Key1KimThe buddhist monks and nuns in China, Korea, Japan never eat flesh of meats. So if you wanna a vegetable meal, you need to come to buddhist temples or specific vegetarian restaurants. Here is too. All food is good and delicious, vegetable. Even they can make it different from origin vegetables. Some has the flavor of meats. Anyway... if you come to Fukuoka, must visit here. It’s the best choice for vegetarians and someone who wanna be healthy!

Reviewed By onthesky2018出張で宿泊しました。 料理がいいとの前情報で、期待が膨らみます。 インターネットと違って、宿は古いです。鍵もなかったです。 温泉でもありません。 料理ですが、正直品数が少なく、魚も刺身やお吸い物だけです。 朝食は量が十分で美味しかったです。

Out of season hotel, close to Oita airport
Reviewed By Gwyn WThis is a 10-15min taxi ride from Oita airport (around ¥1,500 if I remember rightly).It struck me as an out of season tourist hotel for Japanese tourists. There is an outdoor pool, but no one seemed to be using it, not really the weather. To be fair it was 22:00ish when we arrived, but checkin was painless. The room was traditional tatami matting and bedding on the floor. There is an on-suite toilet and wash basin, but to shower you have to go to the communal Onsen (floor 2 i think). Red is for women, Blue for men - I guessed, correctly as it turned out. Not totally sure of the protocol, but if you intend entering the pool, shower before hand! Everyone goes 100% naked, no room for modesty here. Breakfast was interesting, using an app on my phone I asked if there was anything vegetarian. I was told it could be arranged but would take some time. Indeed a tray of 100% vegetarian food arrived from a waitress who couldn't have been more helpful. As the hotel is a way from the airport, and the airport itself 1hour+ from Oita city, the hotel arranged a taxi to the airport. We then got an efficient bus to Oita city centre. Like all the hotels during this trip (Sept/Oct 2019) the bathroom was small, modular but came equipped with a range of complimentary toiletries, razors, tooth brush etc. The shower was powerful and there were plenty of towels. Everything was very clean.

Reviewed By Pow KThe room and the food is nice like other Japanese onsen places. There is also a coin-operated laundry, so it is very convenient for those with long travel plans. The view from the room is also very nice!!! The souvenir shop is also extensive. The staffs are very nice and helpful. The bonus of this place is that it has an observatory that you can access as a guest, and they will show you the beautiful stars through the second biggest telescope on Kyushu Island!!!

Reviewed By ここ２４０海鮮料理のお店の２階部分が宿泊施設となっている料理旅館でした。ですから、お食事は大変に美味しくボリュームもたっぷりで満足いくものでした。新鮮で良い食材を使って、その魚のもつ美味しさを生かしながらかつ繊細に、調理して出来立てを食べさせてくれます。調理法も工夫されており、１０皿以上は頂いたと思うのですが、味付けの重なるものはありませんでした。ただ一つ気になったのは、館内の臭いです。料理旅館なので、天ぷら油のような臭いが、宿泊施設の廊下に漂っていました。

Overnight before flying from Oita
Reviewed By Gareth HWe arrived around 3.30, not sure what time to check on as could not see it on website. We were given choice of western bedroom or Japanese style bedroom. You need to be sure what bed size you require in Japan especially for couples sharing. We had already stayed in a variety of hotels and from large to cramped describes the choices. You must leave shoes by front door as this was a hotel with tatami mats throughout. Remember not to walk on the mats with the slippers provided only socks or bare feet. Slept on futon mattress on tatami floor, duvet type coverlet. Loved it, outside the window was a rice field with cicadas chirping away. Never ate there, but meals are provided on request. This is not a modern hotel, it is clean and the young girl spoke English, the other staff not. You need to get taxi from airport and have someone translate where you want to go. I had all the details on phone, address in English and Japanese, map showing where, picture of outside of hotel, do not expect taxi drivers to know everywhere, they may but usually don’t. We had a great one that took us and in the morning took us back to airport. 1300 yen for another 5 kilometres, well worth it.
