Staff was very friendly and the stay was just great and the price was even better the location is very good as well close to Hauptbahnhof and the city is beautiful. Lots of restaurants in the area the buildings in the city are lovely as well the service quality is also great!!!!

Reviewed By magnuskk2018Friendly staff, ok beds, breakfast fine. Could have been nice with towels as standard in the room and no need of picking it up at the reception. Location is very good. Parking at the zoo is best as Jacobstrasse only offer maximum 3 hours parking. Parking at zoo is 6 euro for 12 hours.

Wirklich wunderbares Hostel, aber nichts für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf
Reviewed By sop_wagnerSuper Hostel! Sehr saubere und schöne Zimmer und Bäder. Eine Atmosphäre von Jugendlichkeit und nicht nervigem Hipstertum. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet (Kühlschrank, Töpfe, Ofen, Mikrowelle, Besteck, etc.) und das Personal war immer sehr freundlich. Auch Fahrrad leihen hat gut geklappt, auch wenn die Fahrräder etwas älter waren, doch ist das bei 7 Euro für einen ganzen Tag vollkommen in Ordnung. Das sie fahren, ist ja die Hauptsache. Generell würde ich jedem empfehlen das schöne Leipzig per Fahrrad zu erkunden. Spart Geld und ist gut umsetzbar, auch für keine regelmäßigen Fahrradfahrer, da Leipzig über viele gute Radfahrwege verfügt. Der Biergarten war auch schön und falls man doch lieber draußen im Park sitzen wollte , konnte man sogar Decken vom Hostel ausleihen. Auch die Lage des Hostels ist perfekt. Im hippen, studentischen und familiären Plagwitz liegt es einen Katzensprung entfernt von der alternativen Einkaufsstraße Karl-Heine und dem Clara-Zetkin-Park. Wenn man sich Fahrräder ausleiht ist man innerhalb von 15min im Zentrum oder zum Beispiel in der schönen Südvorstadt oder Connewitz. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass das Hostel an einer großen Straße liegt und wenn man Nachts mit offenen Fenstern schläft, es wirklich sehr laut ist. Zur Verteidigung des schönen Hostels muss ich erwähnen, dass sie freundlicherweise für einen Euro Ohrstöpsel anbieten. Wer sich also wundert, wie eine Nacht in diesem Hostel nicht mega teuer ist, dem lass gesagt sein die Nächte sind laut. Ich persönlich habe damit kein Problem und freue mich über den günstigen Preis (17 Euro die Nacht), doch kann dieser Hinweis vlt. dem ein oder anderen Leichtschläfer helfen. An alle Nicht-Leichtschläfer, nicht dadurch abgeschreckt sein, das Hostel ist ansonsten top!

Friendly, Helpful Staff, but Inadequate Facilities, Poor WiFi

No lounge and just the one kitchen table that seats 6 people for the entire hostel. People can ‘lounge’ at the one kitchen table for hours, so at times there is nowhere to eat meals but on your bed in your dorm. Thin walls between rooms, you can easily hear the conversation from the adjacent room. Second hand smoke reaches the kitchen from the smokers just outside the door or on the landing between floors. Need more power outlets and better distribution of power outlets for 6-bed dorm. Dorm bed sleep just so-so. Bed comfortable but noisy car/tram traffic just outside window all day, all night, every day. You will need earplugs. Men’s restroom poorly designed: one toilet/urinal in same stall. And two showers in the same room, no privacy, only one place to hang clothes. WiFi sucked much of the time, slow and sometimes kaput as in right in the middle of buying a train ticket. Even from the kitchen, 1-2 meters from the base station. Complete all time-sensitive online tasks before checking in to homePlanet Hostel. Suggested improvements: Put privacy curtains around the beds or at the very least separating the beds. because dorm beds are placed end to end and there were no hardboards or anything separating them. The tall guy’s foot in the bed next to me ended up in my bed, no fault of his own, just poor dorm design. Add a recycling program — plastic, paper, metal and organics — and make home Planet Hostel even more sustainable.

Our 16 apartments has a stylish design, modern bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens with dining areas. The bright and spacious apartments also have box spring beds, flat screen TVs and of course free Wi-Fi. Furthermore, 10 of our apartments are equipped with their own sauna. The property also has a garden with barbecue facilities.

Simply but great!
Reviewed By Karin HWe have stayd at this hostel a few times now and we love it. The rooms is EXTREAMLY simple so don't expect anything fancy. It's good living for the money and the location is excellent near all traum and S-bahn lines. - No hot water in the shower - No roomcleaning during the week we stayd. Otherwise we love it and will be back! Very friendly staff with limited english knowledge but very friendly.

Reviewed By sylntLocated in the coolest area, this place offers great value. Nice staff, a clean bathroom with hairdryer, a kitchen with everything you need. Only downside is that the room key is just that, could be easily picked!
