Reviewed By 397allegralFrom the second we arrived at Rondedor guesthouse we felt at home and safe. It's the most wonderful, safe haven on the edge of the Cotopaxi national park. Ferdinado is the kindest host who organized a well priced taxi for us from Latacunga to the guesthouse. We had some of the best food we have eaten in Ecuador there (chicken curry, best potato soup, best hot chocolate, delicious pork chops, best breakfast) beside the cozy fire. The portions are huge and well priced. The garden has lamas which we were lucky enough to be able to feed. Their driver (Don Fransico) took us on 30 dollar tour to cotopaxi in the morning which was so worth it and even included a cozy lunch when we came back freezing afterwards. Ferdinando even played a concert for us in the evening and we all danced. They did our washing and made sure we had everything we needed. This was my favorite place to stay in Ecuador and I didn't want to leave. On the day we left we saw cotopaxi from the garden! Thank you Ferdinando and your family. Could not recommend this more highly!

Amazing time
Reviewed By alma141Owner and family were so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time there and highly recommend this place. The restaurant is clean and delicious and their backyard had a nice warm fire roaring every night. My bed was so cozy and we decided to extend our stay!

Reviewed By T1234NLGood Hostal. Rooms are comfortable, with modern bathroom and hot shower. Good breakfast from 7-9 am. Friendly staff. Excellent and very fast laundry service. Hostal is located a bit outside the city center. It is possible to walk (20 minutes) or take a taxi ($1,50).

Budget Hostal
Reviewed By IsaAdventuresThe room was clean and staff were very nice. We stayed here as more of a stop-over. The staff was friendly and directed us to the nearest laundry service area. Unfortunately, they weren’t offering breakfast due to COVID. They also let us store our baggage in a locked area while we hiked the multi-day Quilotoa Loop. I am giving 5 stars for their generosity in holding our bags during our time in Quilotoa.

Reviewed By tavoschinReally good hostel,. 10-15min walk from the centre and the bus station, but you can find everything you need nearby, supermarket, food and shops. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Eduardo Juan Carlos and the staff are really friendly and helpful and they make you feel part of a family. If you want to visit and climb the mountains around they are organizing tours for cheap prices. The breakfast is really good and the kitchen is well equipped! Rooftop with mountains view. I will Definitely be back! Gracias chicos!

Huge Hostel With Great Facilities
Reviewed By tkohl13We absolutely loved this hostel. We stayed in a private room, which was comfortable, clean, and huge! It was also one of the best-valued hostels I have stayed at in Ecuador. There are also amazing views of the surrounding mountains from the rooftop terrace. Although there were not too many other travelers staying here, it looks like they have been expanding quite a bit. They have a billiards room with a great bar and assorted games. This would definitely be a fun hostel if there were more people staying here.

Basic and ok for one night stay
Reviewed By ypexplorersThe hostel overall was nice but it was a hotel and hostel. The location was good. The hostel was clean and had hot water. The WiFi was good. The size of the room was big. For one night it is ok. They stored our luggage for free whilst we did the 3 day Quilatoa Loop hike which was helpful. As we booked with the hostel we were in the basement which was ok but it was cold and no natural lightening. When we asked for a radiator they refused to provide this due to lack of ventilation and that we were not staying in the hotel. I asked for a hair dryer as it was cold at night but they refused and said it was only for hotel guests. Breakfast was not great, jam was not included which I think is basic! They didn’t have butter on one of the days and no juice was provided which are simple things which should really be included.
