Reviewed By S.E. WVery friendly staff and nice rooms. Fruits and water for welcome, and very good restaurant as well. All rooms with bathroom and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. Train station 5 min by walk as well as supermarket and bus station. Very best location for relaxing few days.

Reviewed By Bizzy6We stopped here with a motor home at 9pm. We were able to park in the car park behind the hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had the schnitzel and it was fresh and tasty. We had a quiet night, only to be woken by the village cockerels at dawn ;) I’d definitely recommend this place.

Great motorcycle hotel
Reviewed By mmarkvardsenGreat service, clean and spacious rooms and really good parking for motorcycles. The restaurant has good food and the best Black beer. I will for sure be back again. It is one of my favorite hotels in Harz. There are many good roads close to the hotel for driving motorcycle.

Reviewed By Victor OThis family run hotel is "top notch" both room and facilities with friendly helpful owners, whilst some way outside Herzberg in Sieber it is in an beautiful location, close to local facilities(swimming pool and walking/trekking), the forest and mountains

Ma la cosa principale è la Riserva Naturale in cui si trova l'hotel - c'è qualcosa da vedere! Lo consiglio! PS Il bar e il ristorante sono in fase di ristrutturazione

Perfect location in Harz
Reviewed By Remus907The location is perfect. It is practically in the mountains with lots of areas to explore. The rooms are very big and clean. The breakfast was incredibly tasty and plenty(we were never able to finish it) I would strongly recommend to check all foods made by the owners, they are absolutely delicious. All in all, we felt very good there and we will return here in the future for another nature trip.

WARNING: STAY AWAY
Reviewed By Bad KLet me begin by telling you the positive aspects: 1) cheaper than the other places in area. 2) Dog friendly (sort of) Now let me tell you why it is cheaper than the other places. No one would stay there if they charged any more than they do. My two children and I plus our small dog rented this place by the week. If there were any other available places in the area, we would have left immediately upon arrival. Let me list the problems with this place: 1) WIFI does not work most of the time. This is a real problem for me because I work online. If I don't have WIFI, I don't get paid. 2) The owners are horrible. Most of the time they are UNAVAILABLE. When I would knock on their door knowing they were there, they would not answer until I stood outside their door knocking non-stop for over 20 minutes then they come to the door mad because I didn't go away. I told them that if they answered the door at first, I would not keep knocking. 3) I paid for my laundry to be done and 4 days later it came back wet and mildewed and had to be thrown away, (with no offer to be recompensed for the clothes they ruined). 4) They say they are dog-friendly but when you take your dog outside, they yell and tell you to take your dog up this ridiculously steep hill (which is unlit and I actually fell over the retaining wall into a briar bush hurting my wrist). You have to stay extremely quiet coming in and out so you won't wake up their baby. This is supposed to be a hotel. Guests should not have to sneak around like a mouse so that the owners kids don't get disturbed. They did not change the linens or clean the room one time. They even wanted to charge us for washing THEIR towels. They charge for a breakfast that most hotels give away fro free (small continental breakfast for 6 Euros per person) they also somewhat offer a very limited expensive menu. Meals served when they feel like it, no standard hours many mornings breakfast room is closed. They moved us from a three person room to a two person room because they said they needed the room we were in and did not adjust the cost to reflect the room size difference. Please note in the pictures how small the room was they moved us to. You will see that I can actually stretch my arms out and reach both sides of the room and there is not enough room in front of the bed to open the bathroom door all the way. ALSO ONE BIG WARNING SIGN: The trip advisor site clearly says highlights POOL. The pool they say they have DOES NOT exist. THEY DON'T have a POOL! The picture is a pool in the public camping site down the street which if you want to use it, it costs the same for you whether or not you stay at the hotel. They are NOT the same company! They are FRAUDULENTLY advertising a pool that they do not have. They are misleading people into thinking they have all these amenities that they do not have. So, the pool by itself is proof that you should stay away.
