Hotel and "Glamping"

Reviewed By SandBTokyo

The hotel is good. Seems quite old-style, like a Prince Hotel. Family friendly, the kids are happy here. The place is clean however everything including the room seemed average. Except… the dinner and breakfast buffet are truly wonderful. The dining area is bright and beautiful. The food and selection were superb. So much great choice and although it was really busy it never felt like it. The food was always plentiful and the place seems to absorb the crowds well. The service was also really friendly. The hotspring public bath is also really good. Big, clean and relaxing. No sauna though. I’m not sure if there is any other hotel choice when in Motegi, but we had a good stay. Motegi Twin Rings is a great place. So much to do. There was no racing when we were there during the obon holidays, but there was so much for the families to do. There was a fireworks festival at the racetrack. There was a fair with rides and games. The best is Hello Woods, which is a great place for the kids to enjoy nature. There is a hiking area where they can hunt for insects and other things on the mountain. Japanese kids seem to love beetles and that is a huge thing at Hello Woods. Really a great place. We also did “Glamping” for one night. The glamping at Motegi twin Rings was really good. The tents are solid, they have beds and couches in them. Electricity and fans. It is clean and there were no mosquito during our stay (whew!). The grounds are beautiful, great for the kids to run around. Each campsite has parking and a BBQ set-up. Almost everything you need is provided or available. There is a central fire pit as well. There is a central wash area with toilets. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from the campsite. You can freely use the public bath at the hotel, which was very nice and clean. I heard the hotel can provide the food for your BBQ, although on the day we were there that service was not available due to the high volume of guests. Probably you could head up to the hotel for breakfast as well if it isn’t too busy. The campsite also has cabin and regular camping options. The area is quite beautiful, very natural feeling. I’m sure you can see some beautiful star-filled skies on a clear night. This was a very nice place and an excellent option for glamping, camping or cabins.

only one night - lovely stay

Morino Garden is absolutely lovely. We were met at the train station and after a short ride, we arrive at the guesthouse and were shown our room. Basic - located on the main floor (no need to climb stairs so it was convenient), clean and very comfortable. But from there - basic went to Wow! The common areas of the guesthouse were lovely however the gem of this place is the host/family! Yuriko and her husband were very welcoming and very sweet. Located just outside of town in a serene setting, surrounded by fruit orchards and bamboo stalks. Morino Garden was very peaceful! Opt for the breakfast (among other goodies, check out how the the fresh bread is baked) - our meal was delicious!

舊校舍改建的住宿

Reviewed By Chan_XOXO

An amazing place to say with exceptional hospitality

Reviewed By YanisLa

I have stayed to Furuki for 3 nights while taking pottery classes in their studio. First of all the location is brilliant if you want to unwind from busy cities like Tokyo. it is Japan's countryside at its best. The accommodation is huge. With a big lounge and a kitchen with everything for you to cook. The rooms are traditional rooms which means you will sleep on a futon, it was comfortable, even for a tall European like me. The rooms are humbly decorated and spacious. The only thing to mention is the acoustic between rooms. Overall the place was clean and it was the same for the toilet and bathroom. The wifi worked perfectly in the room, the lounge, and in front of the house. It is worth mentioning that the house is a traditional "old" house with a lot of charm. It is really picturesque and cosy. The place is really quiet which is quite enjoyable. You are provided with free bicycles to wander around which is great. You have shops at walking distance (20minutes for the nearest 7 eleven). You also have delicious restaurants near by. Concerning the pottery studio and classes, it was amazing. The owner and all the staff were super friendly and chill. Really helpful and patient. Big thank you for them and making my stay so enjoyable. Mashiko is usually a place you visit if you have an interest in pottery. Even without that, if you are just looking for a place to escape the craziness of Tokyo i would recommend a few days in Furuki. 5 Stars for me
